To be here today, accompanied by the most important people in my life, just makes all the better, despite my nervous breakdown.
"Stop worrying my dear, this is the beginning of a new chapter," Nana squeezes my hand with her frail one.
The last four years have been harsh on her. Her health has been declining rapidly and I am afraid of the close future. I can't imagine my life without her at this point.
"Listen to Nana, Lo, she knows better." Jake chimes in from behind her wheelchair.
"Go sit down, we'll be here waiting for you," Liam assures me with a warm smile.
"Go, mommy! I want to see you on stage," Dylan exclaims from Liam's shoulders.
All the hurt I've been through, after the trauma and during the trial are finally paying off.
Liam is still everything I've ever wanted. He can put his impulsiveness to the side just to be patient and caring with me and my needs. One would never think that such a hot-headed man was capable of that.
But he is, that and so much more. He's an amazing boyfriend, fiancé, partner, best friend and most of all, father.
I am still very much insecure about everything and unfortunately, despite trying hard to grow out of it, it's a vicious cycle that I am often stuck in. But even so, he never wavers, reminding me of how much he loves me. Making me love him so much more every day that goes by.
"I love you," I whisper to the both of them right after our lingering peck.
"Go kick some ass, baby," Liam smiles wide, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
