As I slowly climb down the stairs I hear Nana and Jake's hushed voices in the kitchen. I know it's not polite to eavesdrop but for them to be talking in hushed tones I know which subject it is.
Me and Dylan.
"Do you believe that boy is the father?" Nana asks.
"It's the only option... I mean they do look-a-like. A lot." He mumbles. "But I know there's more to their story. I just don't know what the hell happened. They both seem lost in the most different ways Nana and I just don't know what to do to help them."
"Well, if they loved each other so much I believe they will find their way back to each other. Fate works in the most mysterious ways." I can't see her but I can imagine her winking at him and the thought makes me smile softly before I realise what they are talking about.
What they don't realise is that there are forces that are so much stronger than fate.
What happened back then made it impossible for whatever there was between me and Liam to be mendable. He'd hate me, hell I even do sometimes and not even a workload of therapy could change that.
