Zach had planned on stepping out of the hotel for a moment. He needed a moment. The way Brandi had looked at him as he played with the children had him curious, and those kisses had him hot and bothered. She was a beautiful lady and she didn’t seem to have any idea. It had been obvious to him that she hadn’t been around kids before, but she’d been a good sport about it.
A slap on the back made Zach pause.
“Hey, Zach,” Denny said. “Can I buy you a drink?”
Zach nodded. Denny would be a great person to talk to and confess the whole story to. “Sure.”
At the bar, Denny ordered two Scotches which made Zach think of Brandi and how she’s sipped from his drink. Then kissed him with the taste still in her mouth. Denny raised his glass. “To the kids.”
Denny had been in the military before law school and he was the one who had turned Zach onto this charity. “To the kids.”
Zach put his glass down.
