Zach packed up what he needed for their afternoon appointments then looked up when Brandi entered his office. He noticed earlier that she was showing more cleavage. She was up to something and Brandi wasn’t nearly as conniving as she thought she was being.
Made him think that she wasn’t going to be every good spy either. He shouldn’t underestimate her, but he wasn’t optimistic that even if he were a dirty businessman, he doubted she’d find anything in his records. Damn Marsing for sending his daughter to do a job she was unprepared for. Now she was clearly trying another tack and he wasn’t sure it was going to work either.
She hadn’t signed the contract and that was troubling to him since she’d been so eager when they’d written it out. Something had changed since she spoke to her father. Fred had called to tell him she was there but hadn’t been able to discern their conversation. Fred had left a message on his phone more recently, but Zach chose to get back to him later. He actually had work to accomplish this afternoon.
