Malik had gone straight to Balthazar manor that was upstate in the quieter part of New York. Their mansion was more hidden, deep in the woods. He pounded on the front door and a maid in a French maid outfit opened the door. Alfred and Alec and appeared behind her, the fog dissipating around them. “Malik! To what do we owe this pleasure?”
“Your quarrel is with me, leave them out of this.” Malik growled.
