"How do I start living now, mum's sick dad's gone....I'd be happy if this application goes through for me", his phone notification disrupts his thought but he left it because the notification wouldn't change his life story "I need to work to make ends meet Moreover......

Gray.... is your ear bad? Gray!! she brought me back to reality with her voice that cut short my thoughts "Oh sorry mum I was wondering if the company will accept my request" I said been bothered about the whole situation. " Gray " she called out softly to get my attention "everything will be fine ok I hate seeing you bothered just keep trying ok" "but mum it's more than two weeks I haven't received anything from the company" "don't worry check your email again ok everything will be fine"she assured me and I responded with a nod and a smile to brighten up her face too.

After I had my dinner, mum was already asleep and I was on my bed swimming inside my thoughts on how to make ends meet, I remembered that I haven't checked my email for today before I go to bed, I was about checking my email but a call came in and of course I had to answer the call because even if I attend to the email it won't change anything. Anna was calling, she's an American, my colleague in college.. I had to pick because it was ringing already. "Hello Anna how're you doing" "hey hey I'm good how about you" she responded asking another question, "I'm good as you can hear" she chuckled softly "uhm I was thinking......if.....we could you know......stroll or something" ohh.........I stood up to look through my window and I saw Anna outside and I scoffed "oh sorry but it's fine if you ain't free" "don't worry I'm out, where are you?" "Oh that I'm at home" she lied underneath her teeth, I smiled and assured her that I was coming but she had a bet that she would be out before me, I knew that was through but I let her win but then I grabbed my jacket before going I checked up on mum, giving a sigh of relief,she was sleeping not thinking of my jobless self.

Anna's POV

in silence I and Qián Ji strolled through the streets, I was despirate to flow his brain with questions but rather I reserved it for another moment. I just stared at the beautiful tall being who walked with me I could even wish to see his pretty face on my bedside always whenever I wake up damn Anna you're thinking too much but what if he asks me out despite the fact he's Chinese suddenly a chilly breeze swept my thoughts away as I subconsciously say out without me even knowing that it was freezing then I felt a warm jacket on my shoulders covering me bar back from cold how did he know I was cold "Then I should walk you home" he requested. "ugh!!!" could he read my thoughts because the last time I checked I didn't say a word. "You heard me right" "but I didn't say that" I tried to argue "or you were thinking of something else" "maybe" I chuckled silly me how could I say that out. after the little section of talk we went back to silence as I continue my imagination of him being a dream come through he's too caring I think he likes me because............... again my thoughts was disrupted "Anna"........he called out my name to get my attention "yh yh I was" ........ "Thinking you're always thinking why??" I smiled and gave him his Jacket I could feel his scent still on my skin "nothing Goodnight gray" "Goodnight" he raffled my hair i suddenly felt hot all over me only to find out when I got inside that I was having red patches on my cheek.

Gray's POV

After dropping Anna I couldn't go home straight I'd like to chill in the playground which I went to I sat on the swing in silence I swung myself thinking how unresponsible I was because I didn't have a job so frustrating....... I heard panting I looked up it was a "dog" I wondered and was frightened at same time because the "dog" looked bitterly bruised and on the other hand I was frightened maybe it would bite me and I'll have rabbis or an infection from the homeless "dog" I tried to leave the place but then I heard a thug!!!!! Only to find out it was the dog I rushed towards it, it had blood all over like it was bitten I just carried it home (been curious about the dog I couldn't let it die because I failed to treat it, funny enough I let mine die, ruby was my late dog she died on the 31st of December it could have wait so we would do a new eve but it died because it was deeply stroked with illness) I still have the medication I gave to ruby when she fell sick I couldn't leave it outside it wasn't in the right state to be outside, I did the needful and now it on my Dover sleeping on the ground covered, I hoped tomorrow will be better than Today, I watched the "dog" while I drifted away to la la land....
