The Unifying Ghost Of Love

Under the night sky with a sprinkling of bright twinkling stars, the expanse of the road is wide but looks quiet. A man in a white shirt and a handsome face like a Greek god was driving his car at above-average speed while listening to the long-haired woman beside him chatter.

Cristian Andrew, his eyes trying to focus on the deserted street, only the lights illuminate it. As if deafening his hearing from all the babble that came out of Bella's mouth.

"Cristian! Anyway, I don't want to break up," Bella said with fake sobs.

Cristian massaged his temples which felt dizzy due to Bella who kept begging and bothering him to drive, his foot stepped on the gas pedal deeper. Driving his car faster than before, he just wanted to arrive sooner so he wouldn't have to hear his ex-girlfriend's ramblings anymore. Yep, Cristian just broke up with the woman because he felt there was no match between the two. Moreover, Bella was caught cheating a few days ago, making Cristian sure to break up with the woman.

"Cristian, I'm sorry." Bella's slender fingers continued to perch on Cristian's arm, incessantly pleading with her ex not to break it off unilaterally.

"Shut up Bella! Do you want to die? Don't bother me!"

The jolt from Cristian made Bella's guts shrink, and the cold air conditioning in the car, and Cristian's anger made her shiver. But it did not make Bella silent, she remained stubborn with her will.

"No! I'd rather die than you break up with me," Bella said loudly. Crazy? Indeed, Bella is crazy and obsessed with Cristian.

The brown-skinned man chuckled, the corners of his lips lifted to form a small smile that was directed at Bella. "Just die there," he answered briefly without looking at the sexy woman beside him.

Bella's round eyes suddenly opened wide when she heard Cristian's answer, that's not what she wanted. The woman who was wearing a tight blue dress did not stay silent, she quickly opened the door of the car that was still moving.

"Okay, if that's what you want. I'll jump out of here!" threatened Bella with a lopsided smile.

Cristian froze in place, his focus instantly split between driving and stopping Bella. His hand moved to pull Bella to close the car door again because it could be very dangerous.

"Don't be crazy, Bella!" Cristian snapped angrily, his blood was boiling at the woman's behavior.

"Don't stop! Otherwise, I'm jumping right now!" shouted Bella when Cristian was about to pull the car over.

The slanted-eyed man ruffled his hair in frustration, not wanting to stop as Bella wanted. "What do you want? Close the door!" he snapped once again with a passionate breath.

"No, until you forgive me."

"Bella, close the door!" Cristian kept trying to close his car door, occasionally regretting his stupidity for not locking the door earlier.

"Let go of Cristian!"

"Don't be crazy you!"

"I..." Bella stopped her words, her eyes accidentally saw someone suddenly pass in front of Cristian's car.

"Cristian watch out!" shouted Bellaa while covering her eyes with her palms.

Cristian's eyes widened, suddenly he stepped on the brake pedal with all his might to stop the car.

But unfortunately, Cristian was late, someone who was about to cross was hit by the front body of Cristian's car. His body bounced not far from the location, Cristian's heart stopped at that moment. His hands trembled as he saw someone lying helplessly on the street.

"Cristian, How's this? You ran into someone." Bella panicked, biting her lower lip. Her face looked uneasy.

While Cristian didn't respond to Bella's words anymore, he immediately got out of the car. Running over to the victim, Cristian crouched down to check his condition.

"He's still alive, let's take him to the hospital." Cristian panicked and wanted to immediately take the victim to the hospital. But his hand was grabbed by the man covered in blood, the man who was the victim smiled faintly.

"No-no, thanks, and please...." Before he could continue his words, the man had already lost his life.

As Cristian was confused, he didn't know why the man was grateful. Moreover, the man's condition looks very pathetic with wounds all over his body, isn't it... That's not the wound from the collision earlier. Cristian had seen the wound before he hit the man earlier, even Cristian had thought that the man who was about to cross earlier was a zombie. How not, the clothes worn are not worth it. There were several wounds on his body, fresh blood flowed from his hands and his way was wobbling. Cristian didn't understand what had happened to the man.

Seeing no movement from the man, Cristian immediately checked the pulse on his wrist. A rough sigh was heard, and Cristian growled in anger when he didn't feel the victim's pulse. Instantly his heart filled with guilt.

"Arghhh...You idiot Cristian!" Cristian cursed to himself.

"Cristian! Is he still alive?" asked Bella who suddenly appeared.

Cristian shook his head, calling his assistant to come to the scene. The street was too quiet, there were absolutely no cars passing by. The quiet night, plus the night wind that pierced into the pores.

"Gosh, Cristian, let's go!" take Bella.

"You don't have a heart, Bel? He died, we have to take him to the hospital for an autopsy," Cristian said firmly.

Bella chuckled, forcing Cristian to get up from her place, and then said, "You already call your assistant, just let him take care of everything. You could be imprisoned Cristian, you don't want it if you lose your career, then your family is disappointed?"

Cristian is still thinking about everything.

"We'd better go now, he's dead. Instead of you taking care of him, and ending up in prison. You'd better find his family later, then you give them help. That's wiser, right?" Bella is still trying to get Cristian to obey her because she doesn't want to be involved in this case either.

Cristian caught a glimpse of the victim who was still lying on the street, before long he nodded in agreement with Bella's words. While Bella breathed a sigh of relief, the woman immediately pulled Cristian away from there.

Cristian obeyed with all compulsion, stupidly he listened to Bella's words. Stupidly he left the victim there, even though he had contacted his assistant.

After Cristian and Bella left, a person in a black robe who was originally hiding behind a tree now shows his form. A crooked and sly smile appeared on his grim face, and before long a chuckle could be heard from the robed man.

"Finally you died, you useless man, it's not in vain that I tortured you," he muttered ending with laughter, his eyes not being distracted from the victim who was still lying on the street.
