"I've slept with Fisayo!" "What?!" The old man on the other end of the phone fell silent for a long time. "If you've slept with her, then you've slept with her. The Akeredolu family can't do anything about it. Come back and marry Lolu. The rest of the matter, I'll take care of it for you!" The old man was domineering in his words. "Grandfather, you always say that a man must have responsibility. Fisayo is now mine, Olaolu’s woman." He emphasized each word. "Since we've slept together, let's just sleep together for a lifetime!" … Fisayo was forced to marry into the most powerful family in Ibadan, instead of her cousin sister, Lolu, who ran away a night before the wedding. What happens when Lolu returns to the city on finding out that her supposed husband to be, was not anything close to the rumors about him? What does fate have in store for Fisayo after falling in love with the man she dreaded all her life?

Chapter 1 I won't get married.

Morning.

When Fisayo woke up from her dream, she was covered in cold sweat and her wet pajamas stuck to her back, making her very uncomfortable.

She stared blankly at the raindrops falling outside the window for a long time, unable to come back to her senses.

She couldn't remember how many times she had had this dream!

A blush rose on her pale doll-like face.

At this moment, someone knocked on the bedroom door.

"Miss, Mr. Dayo wants you to come over, hurry up."

"Oh, I see."

Fisayo suddenly remembered that today was her eldest cousin's wedding and she began to hurriedly get herself ready.

When she arrived in the living room, her uncle and aunt were indeed looking at her with gloomy faces!

"Uncle, Aunt..." Fisayo’s voice was very low.

Her uncle, Dayo, frowned slightly, with a hint of disgust between his eyebrows.

"Why did you just wake up?"

"I'm sorry, Uncle. I stayed up all night cleaning the reception hall, so I slept a little late...!"

So she woke up late!

Aunt Arike gave her a cold glance, which made Fisayo’s whole body shiver.

She realized that what awaited her next was definitely a storm.

However, Arike did not blame her, but instead instructed a few servants.

"Quickly bring the wedding dress. The dress will be a little big on her, but it's too late to have it altered now. Let's just make do with it!"

Fisayo trembled at the words. "Aunt, why do I have to wear my cousin's wedding dress?"

Arike completely ignored her and continued to give orders to the servants.

"Go and inform the head butler of the Durojaiye family to come over. Tell him that although this girl is a bit younger, she looks decent. If he is satisfied, let her marry over as a substitute for Lolu!"

Fisayo’s face turned pale for a moment, and she felt a chill behind her back.

Before she could react, she was grabbed by several maids and taken to the dressing room.

Someone was applying something on her face, and the others started to take off her clothes.

A set of pure white wedding dress was directly put on her!

"Uncle..."

She looked at her uncle almost pleadingly, unable to believe what was happening!

Dayo sighed, but his words made Fisayo feel cold from head to toe!

"Fisayo, your cousin Lolu, has run away from the wedding. You also know that the Durojaiye’s family is not something our family can afford to offend. Akeredolu's family has raised you for eighteen years, and this time, everything is considered even!"

Arike next to him said impatiently, "Why waste words on her? Even a dog raised for eighteen years should know how to repay the favor."

Fisayo bit her lip, tears streaming down her face.

"Aunt... You promised Grandpa that you would wait for me to finish my studies…”

A slap fell on her face, and it hurt like fire.

Arike stared at her with red eyes full of resentment.

"You are just like your shameless mother. Do you still want to live in the Akeredolu family for free? Whether you marry or not, it is up to me!"

"I won't marry!"

Fisayo pushed away the maids and ran out, but then she felt a pain in the back of her head and was knocked unconscious!

She could hear Arike’s sharp voice floating in her ears.

A late night.

When Fisayo woke up, everything was dim and blurry. She could see that she was in a luxuriously decorated new room, and her head was still throbbing painfully!

She found out that she was the only one here, and breathed a long sigh of relief.

It was rumored that Durojaiye Olaolu was short, fat, and bald, and he loved to abuse young girls like her.

Fisayo was quick-witted. No, she had to escape. She couldn't marry an old pervert who was both old and ugly!

She quickly jumped off the bed, looked around, and quickly came up with an idea.

Fisayo climbed down the second floor along the big tree outside the window, but accidentally twisted her foot when she landed. She sucked in a breath and her heart was pounding!

She limped away with her wedding dress.

MEANWHILE

A man put his hands in his pockets and looked out the window with his dark eyes.

He watched the thin figure limping away, and a shallow smile appeared on... his eerie thin lips, with a hint of teasing.

The little girl was interesting. She could climb trees. He had underestimated her!

He pressed the internal phone: "Let her go, and no one is allowed to stop her."

"Yes sir!"

The man turned around and strode away with his long legs, his tall and straight figure not hurried or slow.

How could Durojaiye Olaolu, who had passed through the door of a daughter-in-law, let her run away?

"Sir, why did you come out?"

He went down to the first floor, where the old butler, Tunde, was waiting.

On the night of the wedding, the bridal chamber was decorated with flowers and candles, and every moment was worth a fortune. Could it be that Olaolu was really as unromantic as the rumors suggested?

The man's footsteps paused for a moment, and even his casual posture exuded innate nobility and elegance. He stood tall like a jade tree, making it impossible for anyone to ignore him.

How could he be as old and ugly as the rumors suggested?

His dark eyes glanced at Tunde, and his thin lips parted slightly.

"My wife has gone out to relax. Tell Grandfather not to worry."

Tunde was puzzled. "Madam has gone out?"

A cold aura emanated from Olaolu, and Tunde quickly lowered his head.

"Sir, you can go. I know how to handle things at home."

Olaolu strode out, his long and straight legs moving gracefully in his immaculate black suit.

"Follow me," he said, not knowing who he was addressing.

In the darkness, a group of black-clad men appeared quickly, bowing respectfully at a ninety-degree angle.

"Yes boss!"

The rainy night was unusually quiet on the streets. Fisayo’s eyes were filled with confusion. After leaving the Akeredolu family, she had nothing left except for the wedding dress she was wearing.

The rain soaked her body, and the hem of her white dress was stained with mud. Finally, she couldn't help but stop in front of a bank. Like a stray dog, she walked into the ATM room and hugged her shoulders, shivering uncontrollably.

"Do you want to go back to the Akeredolu family?"

"If I go back, my aunt will definitely send me back to the Durojaiye family. Even if I die, I won't marry that man!"

She couldn't help but sob.

"Since you're shivering from the cold, why don't you go home?"

A voice broke through her closed-off world, and she struggled to lift her pale face.
