Graduating high school and turning 18 in few weeks, Marie’s parents decides to send her off on a trip to Florida, where Marie has always wanted to visit, along with her two best friends, Maryanne and Rose Florida had so many Greek gods, who knew and who could have thought 10 days was enough to make mistakes of a life time.

Chapter 1 Bucket list

“I can’t believe it’s been almost four years already now” Maryanne said as we stepped in through the doors of our school.

“I know right.” I replied her, it was our last week in high school, and boy has it got me getting mixed feelings, excitement to finally be done with high school and see what the real world has to offer out there, but then also that feeling of uncertainty about the next phase of life, and also trying to get at least one of all the colleges I’ve sent my applications to, to give me a freaking reply! It’s been freaking months!

All my friends have gotten into the college of the choices and I’m still here, hoping. I’ve got faith tho, soon. I hope.

“Yoo, Daigle!” I heard someone call out my last name when we got to our lockers. It was our other friend Riele.

“Hey girl, what’s up.” I said giving her a quick hug. Maryanne doing the same.

“Nothing good for sure, my stepmom and brother are coming back from Korea today.” She said her face in a deep scrowl.

“Oh really?” Marie said chuckling at her pouty expression. Riele’s mom passed about 3 years ago so her Dad got remarried, to a Korean woman he had met on a business trip there. She’s been to California a few times and actually seemed nice but Riele just never has attempted to make a relationship with her, and certainly not her step brother.

“Yup and guess what, I’m the one who has to go pick them, from the freaking airport. Like why?!” She ranted on.

“Oh, sorry about that, want us to come with you? We don’t have any plans after school, right Mary?”

“Yeah.”

“Aw you guys, I’d appreciate that, she said and slung her arms on our shoulders squeezing us and I chuckled.

“Okay, okay don’t choke us.” I said laughing.

“Lol, sorry, okay you guys come by to my place, 3:30 and we’ll head to the airport from there.”

“Alright cool.” I said

“Okayyy, see yah later alligatorsss!” she yelled as she went off to her first period. The bell had rung.

We had dropped Riele’s stepmom and brother at their place and decided to go to one of our favorite restaurant to hang before heading to our various homes.

“I can’t even believe Shone could ever do something like that, I really had high hopes of him.” I said to Maryanne’s story of her cheating boyfriend, a senior from another high school.

“Well don’t be too surprised.” Maryanne replied.

“Well you guys know what I always say,” Riele piped in, sipping her cola. “Men are scum and all they wanna do is c*m! And that’s what I stick to, you try to get these high school boys committed, you’re just gonna get disappointed.”

“Yeah, you’re right about that.” Mary answered sighing.

“It’s cool Mary, don’t be upset.” I said and rubbed her back.

“Yeah.” She replied and sat up a little bit I could tell she was still a little upset.

“You know we should do a little something before senior year runs out guys, something fun, just to close the chapter? What do you guys think?” Riele suggested.

“Hmm yeah, or we could make a list of all the things we’ve never done since we got into high school and try and tick them off.” I suggested.

“Yeah, that sounds nice, we should.” Maryanne agreed with a grin on her face matching ours.

“Okay, let’s get started,” I reached for my bag that on the chair beside me and took out a book and pen to write on.

“So what gave you never done since we got to high school that you’ve always wanted to do?” I asked the girls.

“I’ve never smoked? Is that something.” Maryanne chucked unsure.

“Me neither.” I said, “Riele?”

“Twice.” She said pressing her lips together, while avoiding our gazes, and we laughed.

“Smoker,” I joked. “okay so that’s smoking, Marie and Mary.” I said and out two boxes in front of it to be ticked. “What else?”

”I’ve never had food at the cafeteria.” Riele said.

“Really?” I asked her.

“Yup, not even freshmen year.” She replied.

“Lol.” I said chuckling and wrote that down with one box.

“I’ve never been to a concert.” I chipped in with a nervous laugh.

“What that’s not true.” Maryanne said, I know many times we gottickets together for concerts.”

“And did I ever show up?” I asked her.

She thought for a while before finally realizing, “Wait, that is true, you never come!” She said slapping my hand that was on the table and I laughed pulling it away.

“I don’t like concerts too much, I may love the artist but, I’m not getting sweaty bodies touching me everywhere just to see them sing.” I said

“Well then you would have to,” Maryanne said and grabbed the book from me and wrote it down.

“Yeah, yeah fine.” I said and took the book back from her.

“We’ve all never had one night stands right?” Maryanne.

“You should be asking Riele over there,” I answered and poked my pain in her nose, laughing.

“Come on why you talking like I’m some bad girl or something, I don’t date but I don’t sleep around.” She said in a duh tone.

“Okay, putting that down.” I said and put three boxes. “What else?”

“Em, let’s finish it some other times, I have to go pick my lil brother.” Maryanne said.

“Oh that’s true.” I said looking at the time myself.

“And I better go see if our ‘guests’ are settled in fine.” Riele said with the biggest eye roll I have ever seen.

“Lol, okay then.” I said “guess I’m the only one with nothing to do.” I said chuckling and we began packing up.

“Tell your mama to get you a lil one.” Maryanne said laughing, and I hit her upside her head.

“Ow, that hurts.” She said rubbing the spot.

“Yup.” I said laughing.
