After discovering that the people i had always known as my parents were not my biological parents, my world turned upside down when my real parents arrives to claim me. I rejected their offer, still reeling from the shock of the revelation. However, when i learnt that my biological mother has cancer and that her dying wish is for me to marry Chris, a boy that she had raised after his mother's death .I saw her wish as an impossible decision, until Chris suggests a contract marriage that would be annulled after mother's death, Desperate to fulfill mother's dying wish, i agreed to a contract marriage with Chris, but my heart is torn in two. Chapter 1 One

Miss Naomi, if you want to sleep in my class, then get out of my class now", Prof Elizabeth scolded me

I flinched on my sleep as a result of her scolding.

"I'm sorry ma. It's just that I'm not feeling too well", I replied clutching my stomach as I spoke in a calmed tone.

My period cramps was making my day a living hell for me.

"I don't care what so ever your problem might be, just get out of my class right now!!", She yelled over again.

I had no more energy left to keep up a fight with her, so I gently packed my books and left the class, not forgetting to give her an annoying glare.

"What does she think of herself. A Queen or what?. Every single person in this school knows how she got this position of her's. If not for the dean, then she shouldn't have been here now", I mumbled to myself, walking away from the class.

I kept on cursing Mrs Elizabeth, until I got to my everyday hangout spot. Enjoying the cold air that was hitting my face, I heard a voice calling out my name from a distance.

"Naomi!", The voice came

I lifted myself up, and set my gaze towards the direction of the incoming voice, there I saw it was Nancy, my best friend. She walked towards my direction, and sat close to me.

"What happened to you?, You are looking so grumpy and upset today?" She inquired, her voice calm and worriness evident on her face.

"My period cramps is slowing killing me. And as if that's not enough, that bitch, Mrs Elizabeth kicked me out of the classroom", I replied

Just the mere thought of Mrs Elizabeth, made me want to puke.

"I don't know why Nancy, but Mrs Elizabeth always finds a reason to fight with me. Even my breath alone irritates her", I added.

Nancy smiled a bit.

"Come on. Everyone knows why she's still here, even though her teaching sucks", Nancy said, earning a chuckle from me.

"Yeah, probably she’s too good in bed for the Dean", I said, and we both laughed out loud

In just few seconds, Nancy was able to cheer me up, perhaps that's why she earned the title of my best friend.

"Now, let's go brighten up your mood. How about we go get your favorite chocolate cake and coconut milk", Nancy said

My face lightened up just by hearing my favorite dessert. Forgetting about my period cramps, I jumped up from my seating position like a kid.

"You know babe, you're the best. So let's not waste another minute. Let's get going", I said.

We got to a nearby dessert store, where Nancy ordered for the cake and milk, and obviously the bills was on her. We took a chair by the corner, sitting down and laughing away our sorrows that we didn't even know when our classes came to an end.

"See you tomorrow, Nancy", I said waving her a goodbye as I walked back home.

I got home and saw a five luxurious cars in front of my house, making me confused as to what must be going on inside. As soon as I opened the entrance door, I saw an entire set of people, seating on the couch, alongside my parents and my brother, Jude.

"There she is", Jude said, gesturing towards my direction

"Good day", I greeted the guest, stylishly climbing the stairs and heading to my room, when my mom's voice called out to me

"Naomi dear, please come over here", these guests are here to see you.

I leaned over to mum, not really getting what she was saying. Although I noticed her face wasn’t a bright one.

"Mom, what's happening, and who are these pe..",

Before I could continue, a strange lady appeared from no where and gave me a hug

"You have grown up so much, my baby", the lady said, sobbing on my shoulder.

I must confess that o felt really uncomfortable by her sudden action, so I pulled myself slowly off the hug.

"Okay aunty. But please, who are you?", I asked with a calm smile on my face

I noticed her smile drop when I asked the who she was, looking more confused than ever. But she still wasn't as confused as I was, because I don't remember seeing any of these strange faces in any of our family's gathering.

"I'm sorry baby for coming after a very long time. We have been searching everywhere for you", the lady said.

I looked up at mum, and saw that she was a crying mess while looking down like she had committed a sin.

I walked away from the strange woman and walked over to my mum.

"Mum, what's happening here?, And why are you crying?", I asked, my heart racing.

Mum didn't alter a word, she just kept on weeping bitterly, so I gave her a hug, seeing her break down in front of me.

"She's not your biological mother, Naomi", the voice came from behind, only to turn around and discover that it was from the strange woman.

I looked at her in confusion, as her words wasn't really making sense to me.

"Stop kidding around Aunty, it's not funny!!", I yelled angrily, couldn't really withdraw my anger.

"Don't you dare speak to her in that tone and manner. She's speaking the truth", another voice spoke.

All this while, I didn't realize the presence of a handsome, tall and hot looking man, standing near the stairs. His gaze was so hypnotizing, in fact he was freaking cute.

"And who are you?, My brother?", I scolded him, back firing In the same tone he had used for me.

My mind was reeling as i tried to make sense of what was happening. I felt my heart racing as I looked at the woman and asked,

"Please, I need an explanation. What's going on?"
