"What the--?" Rose exclaimed when she saw Sean walk out of the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist. "Can't you put on a robe? You know you are not living here alone," she said after calming herself. Who wouldn't gasp at the sight of water dripping on Sean's six-pack's olive-skinned body? "Just look the other way," he replied with a stoic face. "Unless you really want to see me like this," he added, spreading his arms that showed his beautiful body, which made Rose roll her eyes at him. "Tsk, tsk, tsk, the last woman who rolled her eyes at me was when I made her cum when I finger f***ed her. Do you want to try?" Sean asked, which made Rose's face turn red and her eyes widen. "Pervert!" she shouted and turned her back on him. She rushed back to her room and locked her door while Sean laughed, which irritated her even more.

Chapter 1 1- Bodyguard

Rose's POV

"Grandpa, I already told you, I don’t want a bodyguard. It would only draw attention, and I don’t want that," I said. My grandfather is Alejandro Deniro, though not by blood. He was the father of my adoptive mother. I was adopted into one of the wealthiest families in Country C.

To get him back, my adopted father's former lover claimed me as their daughter before their relationship ended. Fortunately, my father wasn’t a fool. Without her knowledge, my father had done his investigation and found out everything.

Rachel, my father’s former lover and a man who harbored feelings for my adoptive mother, was sent to prison after their plan about me was discovered. That’s a different story that only my parents can tell. After that, as a child, I was worried about being alone. Luckily, I was able to make a good relationship with my Mommyly, my adoptive mother now loves me unconditionally.

To make a long story short, I moved to Grandpa's after high school. Now, this old man here, after handing me his company, told me that I needed a bodyguard. "You would need Sean, and I would only feel at ease if I knew he was with you all the time." He replied.

"I am capable of taking care of myself. What's the use of all the training I have gone through if you would require me to have a bodyguard?" I reasoned it out.

"Sean is not just there to protect you. He will also teach and train you, whether it be in running the business or in physical strength. We both know that what you know about self-defense is not enough. You need more, and Sean can help you out."

"I can do the training, but not the bodyguard thing." I insisted.

"If you cannot follow me on this, I will let someone else manage the company, and you can leave my house and go back to your mom and dad." He threatened me, and I stood up. He knew I couldn't leave him. Not because of his money or connections, but because he knew that my concern and love for him were real.

Another thing is that I didn't want to worry my mom about him. She never grew up with him, and I'm sure she wanted someone to look after him and tell her if anything happened.

"Fine, fine, just make sure to tell him not to act irrationally and show up all the time when I can handle things myself." I agreed before he could take a step. He looked at me with a smile on his face.

"Thank you so much, my dear," he said happily.

"I am only doing this because I didn't want to leave you. Mom will get mad at me if I go and leave your side."

"So was it only because of your mom that you're here?" He asked, sadly, so I rolled my eyes at him.

"You know it wasn't like that. I chose to be here because I love you and I want to be with you. But if you decide to let me go, I will not allow that to occur, as my mother will be extremely distressed. She loves you so much. Plus, Jaden keeps asking me how you are and always reminds me to take care of you."

"As long as you agree with me, everything's fine. I love you, my dearest, and you're my only granddaughter. I don't know if your mom will still be able to have another, but having Jayden miraculously, I think they shouldn't take any risks anymore," he replied as he returned to his seat. I made my move and sat beside him. I adore this old man so much, and I have no regrets about coming with him, even when Dad and Mom were against it.

"I love you, Grandpa, and I don’t want to leave you. I love Mommy and Daddy and, of course, our little man Jayden, but I adore you the most. I'm sure Jayden understands how I feel." I told him, and he laughed as he caressed my head.

"I know that my dear; that's why I am protective of you too," he said.

"I already agreed to the bodyguard thing and managing your company, but please don't make me do anything anymore." I told him, "I wanted to concentrate on your business first because I know you have many beneficiaries depending on you, so I had to work hard. I wanted them to have the kind of life I have now and find a family like ours." I added.

"Thank you for having the same goal as mine, dear," he replied. Grandpa is getting older, and I don't think he will still be able to see more of my achievements in the future. That's why, as much as possible, I want him to know that I love him so much. We stayed there for a few more minutes. I was about to get up and go home when someone came in.

"Sir Alejandro," the man said, looking at Grandpa. He was tall and handsome, even though he was wearing a jacket. I can tell he had lean muscles and six-packed abs underneath.

"Sean, you're finally here." Grandpa greeted him happily. Wait, what? Sean? He's my bodyguard? "I want you to meet my granddaughter, Rose," he said, introducing me to Sean. "Rose, he is Sean, your bodyguard." He added, looking at me, smiling. I didn't know what to say. The way Sean looked at me when I turned my gaze at him, it was as though he didn't want to become my bodyguard as well. Did Grandpa force him?

"Are all your things ready?" Grandpa asked Sean, and I looked at him curiously. What did he mean by his things being ready?

"Yes, Sir," Sean replied, and my gaze immediately flew to him and then back to Grandpa.

"What things? Why did he need to prepare his things?" I asked briskly.

"Rose will start working tomorrow, and I want you to look closely at her. I don’t want her to get hurt or have anything bad happen to her. Make sure she's safe. I entrust her to you." Grandpa told my bodyguard, who nodded his head and looked at me.

His downturned shape with green orbs looked at me with a stoic face, so I wasn’t able to tell what he was thinking. He was tall with olive skin—very manly if you ask me. But I didn't want to indulge myself in his appearance because I had a feeling that he didn't want his job now. "I am pleased to meet you, Ma'am Rose," he said in a cold, baritone voice.

I looked at Grandpa, and he looked at me as well. Maybe he was waiting for my reaction. "What do you mean about his things being ready?" I asked him again.

"You are going to live together," he replied, and being shocked was an understatement. I never thought he was as crazy as my mom's best friend, Aunt Seily. Then I looked at Sean, who was still looking at me with a smirk on his face. I don't think I am going to be like this.
