I was about to leave by the window when I caught sight of a man from the other corner. The familiar stance of the man made my heart beat faster. What the heck?!
Kylie's POV
My throat hurts, my back aches and my stomach started to growl. I opened my eyes, light suddenly blinded me. I raised my hand to block the light coming from somewhere. After adjusting my vision from the blinding light I looked at where I was.
I was shocked to see that I was inside a room. Even though it's not big, you can't say it's small either.
Where am I? What is this place?
My brain is confused. I kept on thinking about what happened last night. I thought I was in Verona. It's like I was just talking to Aunt Vane last night. How come, I'm here? How come I'm in this unfamiliar bed? Why am I lying here? Am I in Spain already?
My head throbbed so hard that I caught it suddenly. I feel like my head's gone burst. Aaaagh! What the hell?! I just felt this headache again. I reached for the pillow and covered it over my face. Block the light! Block the light, Kylie!
I closed my eyes tightly and let the pain in my head pass. I think I didn't move for about ten minutes. I just fell on the pillow.
When I felt my headache disappear, I opened my eyes again.
I tried to get up from the bed and that's when I noticed that I wasn't wearing pants or any underwear. Anything to cover up my legs. My eyes immediately widened.
"What the hell?!"
Why don't I have bottoms? Did someone rape me Omg?! I immediately groped my whole body and felt if there was anything strange and by God's mercy I did not feel anything strange like not even the sensitive parts of my body and it was still felt the same.
I immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
Bataan is still safe.
I looked at my underwear and frowned when I saw that I was wearing briefs wtf I mean, I'm wearing men's underwear and I don't know whose it is?.
Omg! Don't Tell me kay--
This is..! This is... Thurstin's!!
I stood up as the past that happened between the two of us flowed through my memory.
The airplane, Nordint, the incident at Dora, and those guys who are chasing us then... then... what happened after? Aah! When Thurstin and I ran out of gas on our way to Laayoune. Then we saw a truck where the Spanish couple was. We got in the truck and...
I scratched my head.
What I remember is that I slept next to Thurstin. I think I felt worse in the middle of it. snap! I think I have a fever too.
I looked around the room.
Then Thurstin and I also arrived in Laayoune and we can stay in an old hotel. The question is, where is Thurstin?
My stomach was growling and that's when I saw a bowl on a table. When I looked at it, I saw that there was porridge in the bowl. There is also bread on the side and medicine pills.
Wow! Did Thurstin prepare this for me?
I took the spoon and immediately took a bite of the porridge. It's not hot anymore and the taste is a bit bland but it's okay. I'm too hungry to complain.
I think I only ate the food on the table in five minutes because I was so hungry. I was thinking about things too, I didn't even realize he was exhausted. I was quietly amazed by myself. I guess I just got too hungry.
After I finished eating, I took the medicine that was there. I didn't doubt it because Thurstin had a note written on a small piece of paper. They say it's 'Paracetamol'. Although I don't think I'm still fever, I still drank it so my fever wouldn't come back and my headache would go away.
I was wondering where Thurstin could be at the moment. I approached the window and peered between the blinds that were there.
It was a bright morning outside my eyes blinked as it was adjusting to the light. When my vision was fine, I looked outside.
There I saw a wide dusty road. People are bustling at every corner. I can see a building across the street that looks like a billiard salon or whatever. To the right are people walking and jogging, some are selling goods, and some are buying.
Cars can also be seen from the other side of the road, and motorcycles.
Not much to see. I didn't expect Laayoune to be a big city. I think the Sta. Rita then here.
I was about to leave by the window when I caught sight of a man from the other corner. The familiar stance of the man made my heart beat faster.
What the heck?!
My eyes just saw Thurstin and all of a sudden my chest swelled up! Another class!
Thurstin seems to be talking to a man, they're standing in front of the hotel. The strange man has the same Spanish look I saw from the couple last night. May he's Spanish too.
What are they talking about?
Thurstin patted the man on the shoulder who just smiled before he walked towards the hotel where I was. The stranger ran towards the other crossing. He crossed the road before disappearing into an alley.
I was too engrossed watching the scenery outside the hotel I haven't heard the door open and...
"Kylie?" comes the voice of Thurstin.
I turned towards the door. "Huh?!" He was here immediately.
Thurstin looked at me like he saw a ghost. He was also gaping.
I was surprised at the man's reaction when he saw me. "W-Why are---?" I followed where Thurstin was looking. He was looking... at my legs?
"Aaahhh!" I shouted. I have no bottoms!!! "Get out!! Get out!" I ran towards the bed screaming.
Thurstin rushed out of the room, no way! as quickly as he entered, he left just as quickly.
Oh my gosh! Hello! my!
OMGG!
Shame!
I immediately jumped up and realized that I was just dreaming. that's why what's happening seems familiar.
Where is Thurstin? What is happening?
Where am I?
"Baby, always wear your face mask, is that okay?" I talked to my six-year-old son. "Okay, Mom!" He answered enthusiastically while looking at the high gate of the house where we were standing. "Are you going to work here?" He asked. I nodded and squeezed her cute hand. I hope we won't be evicted if I can work here. I also hope my son won't steal chocolates at night, my old boss mistook me for a ghost so I was fired! I couldn't help but laugh, my mother and I have been through so much and my son is strangely gaining weight and not losing weight. "Come in now." The guard caught my attention. I nodded and walked in with Alexandria. The butler of the mansion greeted us and escorted us to the maid's quarters, they were so happy with my daughter that you would think she would be working with them. But even so, I'm thankful because it seems like it's really okay that I work with him even though it's very unprofessional. Judy and Roxan didn't hold Alexander until he went to sleep, so it's bad if they scolded him until he was left to sleep.
He smiled then took my hand and put the book in there. I quickly took the book and walked out. I might punch him in no time. Fuck you my first kiss is gone. That's a damn president. She really is ready for me.
We just followed him with our eyes. Not far from the abandoned university, Ellice's car was parked and we were hanging out. It only takes a few steps to reach the gate, so we see Ella's every move as she slowly opens the gate. "Girls, it's open. Come on, let's take a look inside" Ella yelled at us. We got out of the car one by one and went to see Ella. When we arrived at the gate we found that it was indeed open. After all, no one is surprised by an abandoned person. "What are we going to do? Don't tell me we're going in there?" Mitch asked cleverly. He just followed us and kept his hand on his mosquito-bitten leg. "Let's go inside. Let's find a place to sleep. We can't just spend the night in the car," I told them. Maybe some bad person passed by where we parked the car, and we might be tripped up, we're still girls. We have nothing against you. "France is right. We have to get inside to find a place to rest" Ellice agreed with what I was saying and went inside first. "But guys-"
I was just walking around the premises of my new school. Our class just ended and the teachers announced that it was 'club hours' and that we could join the club we wanted. The case... I don't want anything. There is nothing like that for me. I can't go to the sports club because I have asthma. I will drown if I join the Swimming Club because I can't even do a simple dog swim. It's also not possible in Math or Science Club because my brain will definitely explode there. I can't do Cheerdance because I don't know how to dance and my bones will break because of the hardness of my body. I'm not an artist by blood and I'm not a book lover. I then thought of hanging myself from a tree. I have no talent. I'm having a hard time choosing a club. So I just chose to walk around. I'm also new to this school. I was educated when my uncle was abroad so I was able to move to the classy St. Mikhailov's Academy. As I walked I reached the part of Nevada's Square that was quite wooded. There are many trees and big ones. I sat down in the shade and rested while looking around. Then suddenly....
As I was walking along the road, I noticed someone looking at me. So I looked around but I couldn't see him. So I just told myself that it was just my imagination. I just walked because I was in a hurry to get to the Jeep Terminal. But I stopped walking because someone suddenly grabbed my arm. So I got nervous and I suddenly looked at him. I can't see his face because he's wearing a mask. I wanted to talk to him but he turned me away and put a handkerchief over my mouth. I struggled but I couldn't because he was too strong. So with so much struggle and dizziness, I lost consciousness.
There are things in this world that we cannot see clearly. Sometimes they are just people's imaginations and you may only read about them in books. Hiding because they know people will not understand them when they see them. Evil but sometimes does inexplicable good. Things that... Things? They don't really matter, what am I saying?
