Chapter 1 Search For A Job

ELLA POV

I tossed on the bed as the alarm kept on ringing, I used my pillow to cover my ears, but the sound penetrated into my ears.

I was about breaking the alarm clock when Sophia, my younger sister, came to wake me up, reminding me that I had an interview to attend by 11am and the time was 10:30am.

Oops, sorry I forgot to introduce myself, I am Isabella Rodriguez, but I prefer being called Ella. I am 23 years old, and I really have nice curves. I am a charming lady with a long black hair. Well, I am a quiet lady who just have a goal and that is to take care of my younger sister whom I love a lot.

Our parents died in a fatal accident 4 years ago, leaving numerous debts unpaid, making us struggle. We had to run away from San Diego to Los Angeles because life was unbearable there. We never had a moment which we considered peaceful. Furthermore, we were able to come here last month with our last savings.

Sophia, who is 17 years now, isn't in college just because I can't afford it, and I am really bothered about it which I don't want her to know.

"Ella you are still sleeping right" Sophia said frowning

"Sophy I'm sorry I was carried away by the weather which was too cool" I said

"Ella you are so late guess what the time says" she said

I looked at the alarm clock then gasped and jumped from the bed shouting

"Sophy bring out a dress for me pleaseee" I shouted running to the bathroom

I heard her laughing and said something like gosh she's never going to change

I came out of the bathroom and saw that she has brought out a yellow dress I bought last week with the little money I was able to raise particularly for this interview. I wore a flat black shoe and I took my only bag which is black, I packed my hair in a ponytail making me look stunning. I looked at myself in the mirror and gasped, remembering something, MY MASK. My best friend named Emery gave me the idea of using the mask, since I wasn't able to get a job without the manager asking me for a night stand or the CEO asking me to fulfil their sexual desires. I wore the mask which made me look less attractive, and I really hope it works.

I ran down the frail steps in our house and saw Emery waiting for me, I smiled as I ran towards her

EMERY POV

I saw Ella running towards me with smiles all over her face, I returned the smile as I engulfed her in a hug, the mask really helped in changing her facial appearance, she now looked less beautiful.

Well, that is what she wants because she really needs a job.

"Emery you came?" Ella asked me, looking surprised.

"Of course, why won't I? My best friend has an interview to attend to today, and I'm never going to miss it" I said.

"Lest I forget, the mask is really going to help you today" I said

"I'm genuinely grateful to you for bringing up the idea and also getting it for me" she said seriously

"I've told you to stop thanking me, I did what anybody could have done for their best friend" I replied frowning

"Okay I'm sorry" she said pouting

"You are highly welcome" I said amidst laughter

"Come on let's go" I said

"You mean you will be following me there?" she asked, smiling

"Sure" I replied

"Come on, let's be on our way" I said dragging her towards my car

"Sophia I'm going now, take care of yourself and I love you" She shouted as we ran towards the car

"I love you too Ella, and I wish you the best of luck" We heard Sophia shouting

**ANDERSON COMPANY**

They got there and Ella ran into the Company panting, she met the receptionist, whom she told that she was there for the interview. She actually thought the lady was going to act rude and bossy towards her, but she was shocked when the lady smiled at her and asked for her name.

"I'm Ella Rodriguez" She said, smiling at the lady

"What about you" Ella asked the lady

"Well I'm Cindy by name" She replied smiling

"It's better you run along now, so you wouldn't be late" Cindy said

"Oh, thanks for reminding me" Ella said

"You are welcome, there is an elevator by your left, the interview room is in the first floor" Cindy directed her

"Thank you so much" Ella who has begun walking towards the direction of the elevator said

"I wish you luck and I hope you get the job" Cindy screamed at Ella who has already gone far

Ella smiled as she heard what Cindy said

"She's really nice" she thought

Ella opened the elevator and met two ladies who were also going towards the interview room, she tried talking to them, but the result wasn't what she expected.

"Hi, are you both also here for the interview?" Ella asked.

The two ladies looked at themselves and started laughing

"Who does she think she is? Look at the kind of clothes and shoes she wears" The lady with a blonde hair asked.

"She's even looking ugly" The second lady said

Ella was taken aback, she wanted to give them a befitting reply but the lift door just opened

She hissed aloud and walked out of the elevator completely pissed by what they did

Immediately she got out of the elevator she saw countless people who were on a queue, she was surprised that she saw numerous people there. There were some who dressed wayward and exquisite, while some dressed corporate and decent.

Well, after what happened in the lift, she wanted to avoid being embarrassed further, so she decided to stay alone and pray she gets the job.

While waiting for it to get to her turn, she saw many people who came out from the interview room frowning, she got more scared.

It soon got to her turn

"ISABELLA RODRIGUEZ" her name was called from inside the interview room
