Chapter 1 Dream~

I was waiting for him desperately. It's been 3 days since he went to war. I was a little bit afraid and scared but he was serving our emperor. And I was proud of that. According to the news, he was going to come today and I could not wait anymore.

I saw many of his colleagues coming home but he was not with them. It was already noon but still, he hadn't come. I saw his friends and I went to ask him "Where is he?" He looked down, my heart was beating fast, I was scared of hearing anything wrong. Finally, he said something like "He didn't survive." I was broken into thousands of pieces, I could not believe in what I heard.

I knew where they were going to fight, I ran towards there, tears were coming to my eyes, I was running like a crazy person, finally, I reached that place. There were so many dead bodies. I ran towards every soldier's body that I saw but I was but I couldn't find him. I was anxious, I started to look everywhere again and I saw one soldier with that ring. When I went there, I was scared. I slowly moved that person and found he was my Xu Meng. I sat down and held him, I was crying, I couldn't speak anything.

After a while I buried him. I was holding his sword and the last thing I said before killing myself was "I Yu Fang will always love you and let's meet in the next life Xu Meng" I cut my neck with his sword... before closing my eyes for forever I recall all my good memories with him...

I opened my eyes and found my eyes wet. I smiled and woke up from bed and went to the washroom and washed my face. I looked in the mirror and found similarities between him and Yu Fang. "I need to stop reading too many functional novels... Feng ling focuses on reality, not on fictional stories and characters" I got ready for my school. I study at university. It's my 1day of 2nd year.

I am Fang Ling, a university student. I am 19 years old, an introvert, I don't like making friends as well as I don't talk to anyone. I like to read fictional novels. And I always had some bad dreams and they seemed more real than the actual world. Anyway, I was heading to my university but I felt I was being followed by someone. I looked back and I didn't find anyone there. I increased my speed and walked faster but still, I felt I was being followed by someone.

I started to run as fast as I could. I didn't look back, I kept running. Finally, I reached University. I took a breath of relief but I saw one guy was coming towards me and he was panting. He stood up in front of me and looked at me with his tired eyes. He took a long breath and handed me my keys "You dropped this on the street" I turned red with embarrassment, I immediately thanked him and headed to my classroom.

He followed me and started to walk with me. He kept staring at me for 2 minutes and I was feeling awkward with him. Before I could say anything he said "Hello buddy, my name is Xu Kai, how about you?" His smile was refreshing, his cute and innocent looks were heart-melting. I had never seen anybody Handsome as him. He was ten times better looking than me but his face was so familiar to me, I was thinking about where I saw him but I could not remember anything.

He was asking my name. "Fang Ling," I said my name and looked down. He was talking to me like a child and I was nodding at everything. He reached his classroom and went there. While going he said, "bye junior" I looked at him and smiled.

I entered the classroom, everyone was having fun. As I entered everyone was looking at me I looked down and went to sit on my seat. Everyone was talking about me. There was 1 group of 3 girls behind me. They were talking about me and my appearance. One of them loudly said "look at this new boy he is so ugly, even my brown shocks are more white than him haha" everyone started to laugh. I was looking down and feeling bad, so I chose to not respond to anything. I was about to cry but then I heard something, his voice was familiar to me. I looked up to check who that person was. He was smiling and looking at me "Hii junior" as he said that everyone started looking at me and mumbling about how he knows me.

He came to me and asked me whether I was doing fine or not. I nodded and looked down. He was there to take an English class as the teacher was busy with something. Girls were talking about him and some boys were clicking his picture. He was really popular and handsome. After taking a class he went to his classroom and all were talking about him. I heard that he is very kind-hearted and good to everyone and almost everyone at the university is in love with him.

It was recessed. I was sitting on my seat. I heard someone saying hi, it was him standing outside and waving a hand at me, I waved my hand too and said hii. The same girl who commented on my appearance was glaring at me "Would be a perfect match black and white" she and her friend started to laugh, I ignored what she said and looked outside. I was feeling sad, her mean comments were hurting me but I knew it would happen to me as I look different from them.

I was reading one book and one guy came to me he was looking innocent he smiled and asked my name I told him my name, he asked me to be his friend he gave me his hand for shaking but that girl again commented "Girls look there old tv, black and white" she started to laugh, that boy slammed his hand on the bench "Shut up Yang Li that is racists" she shut up and looked at different directions.

We both shook our hands and became friends. He said his name is Xu Tao.
