Nadine smiled. “Can we be friends, Bonnie? I'm new and no one wants to be my friend, so…” Bonnie nodded her head quickly. “Since when have you been working here?” Asked Nadine. “Seven months. I'm new and that's why everyone bullies me.” Bonnie spoke sadly again. “I am here for you,” Nadine whispered, and Bonnie smiled. After lunch, Nadine went back to her office. Bonnie worked in the PR department, Nadine promised to visit her later. Before settling down, Nadine checked on her boss. He was still in his seat, and she had an urge to ask him some questions concerning the previous secretary, but she feared him. Instead of the previous secretary providing her information, it had been Sophia doing that. Also, there was a lot of work she left unfinished, she left then abruptly as though she didn't know she was going to leave work soon. Nadine found it strange because most employees whether sacked or resigned usually take care of the work before they leave so that whoever was coming to replace them wouldn't have any difficulty. Just then, the telephone beeped, meaning that Ryan needed her attention. She stood up quickly and resumed to his office. Standing in front of him, Ryan raised his head. “Do I have any meeting for today?” he asked. “No sir. You canceled all your meetings for this week.” Nadine answered. She had seen that in the note of the former secretary. At least it was what helped her until this moment. “Yes, I want to take full rest for this week.” He uttered. “May I go, sir?” Nadine asked, wanting to leave, but Ryan shook his head. “Come closer.” He ordered and Nadine did, the table was the only barrier between them. “To my side.” He spoke, not looking at her, but at his laptop. “Huh?” confusion laced Nadine’s face. “I hate repeating myself twice.” He raised his head, licked his lips, and rested his back hotly. Nadine saw that his eyes darkened, he looked away from her quickly. Then, she obeyed him; she walked to his side and moved closer. Almost touching his body with hers. “What perfume do you use?” he asked, he hadn't been able to take her scent off his nostrils.
