"I bet you can't get into the M&R group on your own. But if you do, you'll be walking on my head from now on." Mason swallowed the beef in his mouth, his tone playful in its lightness.
"Riding on your head and walking? Funny, I only do that with my husband." Christine nonchalantly snapped back, "But I'm interested in that offer of yours, and I've already thought of what I want?"
"Christine, how do you know you'll win before you even start the race? Franklin says you can't be too full of confidence and then be regretful later." Mason didn't believe Christine could make a difference.
Smirking, he grudgingly opened his mouth again to remind, "Christine, I still need to remind you, lest you say I'm bullying you. The M&R Group only recruits a group of employees each year, and they have to be vetted at every level, so there's only one place for this year's special hire."
A place for the LOGO competition winner?
Christine quirked an eyebrow, a twinkle of excitement in her eyes as she looked directly at Mason. She said with confidence, "I'm waiting for you to rip your head off and make it a ball for me to kick."
On hearing the words, Mason's profile tightened and he smiled, "It will be the best if you win."
