Sienna tried the handle. It was unlocked. She pushed the door open and peered inside the room to find her boyfriend happily exploring another woman's body. Specifically, Amber's body. Amber, who had sworn Sienna was her closest friend.
Instead of anger or jealousy, Sienna felt a strange sense of calm as she pushed the door all the way open.
Austin and Amber both snapped their gazes to her.
Austin's stupid mouth hung open, gaping like a fish. Amber just looked pissed.
"Well," Sienna said, "Thanks for making this easy for me, Austin. We're done."
She turned to leave, and although she could hear him scrambling after her, she did not stop.
"Wait!" Austin grabbed her wrist, and she turned, trying to yank herself away from him.
He was half-naked, with a blanket around his waist. His hands were damp.
Probably Amber's sweat.
"Let go of me!" Sienna snapped. Her so-called friend was sitting on the bed, covering herself with a pillow. She did not even look sorry.
"If you'll just talk to me," Austin pleaded.
"I never want to talk to you again, Austin. Now let go of me!"
His grip tightened, a manic look in his eyes, and Sienna winced in pain.
"Let her go," said a booming voice.
"Or we'll make sure you can never use that hand again," another voice said.
Austin let go immediately, his jaw dropping as he stared at the people who had spoken.
Sienna would recognize those husky voices anywhere. She turned to look at the Reed twins. Her brothers had been tied up with the new gym location, so they had sent their best friends, the twins, to pick her up.
They had always been good-looking boys, but in the years since Sienna had seen them, they had become handsome men. Both six feet, three inches of God's finest work. Shoulders so wide that their clothes could not hide their defined muscles.
Mason had a neat beard now, something she had never seen on him before. It defined his strong jaw and gave him a dangerous, sexy look.
Logan was still clean-shaven, with a strong chin and eyes that immediately cataloged every detail in the room.
They stood shoulder to shoulder with their arms crossed, both wearing a dark expression. They had teased her relentlessly while growing up, but anytime she had been in real trouble, they had stepped in just like this. She realized instantly how much she had missed their protective presence.
Sienna turned back to Austin. He looked appropriately terrified.
Austin raised his hand in surrender and said, "I just want to talk to you, Sienna." He shot a scared glance at the two twins. "Alone."
"I don't think there's much to talk about. You cheated."
Her eyes slowly moved to Amber as she spoke, still stone cold. "I guess you were tired of waiting. Why work hard for something if you can get it the easy way?"
Amber shot her a dirty look, her mouth opening slightly like she wanted to say something snide, but the words caught in her throat. Instead, she pulled on her hoodie and practically sprinted down the hall.
Sienna turned back to Austin and continued, "And, if we're telling truths, if you're no better at sex than you are at foreplay, I don't think I've missed much."
Mason let out a low whistle. "Damn, Sienna."
Logan burst out laughing. "Yeah, I think Austin's ego just shriveled up to the size of his dick."
Austin scowled, pulling the blanket tighter around himself, face growing red as he started to shout, "You know what? You're such a bitch! That's why I did it, because you're always acting like you're better than everyone!"
The twins stepped past her and got directly in Austin's face.
"Say it again," Mason growled, his green eyes locked on Austin's.
Logan tilted his head with a dangerous smile. "Please. I dare you."
Austin shrank back instinctively, clutching the blanket.
Sienna could not help the tiny, vindicated smirk tugging at her lips.
"Anything else we need to do here, Sienna?" Logan asked.
Both twins looked back at her, their faces full of raw loyalty. There was no doubt in her mind they would beat Austin to a pulp if she asked.
She did not want violence, but that protective wall stirred something low and aching in her belly.
She cleared her throat and forced a cool expression. "I'm good. Let's get out of here."
Logan raised his eyebrow at Austin and muttered, "Little tip for next time, Romeo. If you're going to cheat, at least lock the damn door. Like this."
As Logan reached inside the door and flipped the lock on the handle, Mason snatched away Austin's blanket and tossed it into the room.
"No, my clothes!" Austin shouted as Logan slammed the door shut. Austin yanked at the doorknob to no avail.
"Whoops," Logan said with a laugh.
Austin stood frozen in the hallway, completely naked, trying to cover himself with his hands.
A group of girls spilled out of a room down the hall, chatting until they caught sight of Austin. They let out a collective gasp followed by a burst of giggles.
Austin's face turned beet red as he spun on his heel, putting one hand on his front and one on his backside as he sprinted barefoot down the hallway like a man fleeing a crime scene.
Logan and Mason turned slowly, wearing matching grins.
Sienna hooked her arms through theirs, walking between them with a quiet satisfaction. She could feel the firm strength of their biceps under her fingertips, solid and ready to defend her. It made her feel safe.
Maybe Austin cheating had been a blessing in disguise, the final push she needed to let go of something lukewarm and lifeless.
He had never made her feel that spark, that heart-hammering, all-consuming pull you were supposed to feel.
She felt it now. The brush of Logan's fingers against her arm, the solid warmth of Mason at her side.
She swallowed hard, trying not to show the flush rising up her neck.
Why was her body reacting like this?
It was something entirely new.
As soon as they stepped into the elevator with the last of her boxes, they both turned and looked at her, grinning.
"So..." Mason started.
Logan finished, "You two never had sex?"
"That is none of your business," she said.
Logan nodded smoothly. "That means no."
"Oh, please," she said with an eye-roll, though they were entirely right.
She had planned to lose her virginity this summer with Austin.
That was completely ruined now, of course.
But maybe she could still lose it.
Not with someone who lied to her, but with someone who made her feel wanted, grounded, and safe.
Maybe with one of the twins.
Which one?
Mason, with those intense green eyes and confident smile that lingered too long on her lips?
Or Logan, with his soft, dimpled grin and the quiet way he always noticed when something was bothering her?
She did not know yet.
Just the thought of it thrilled her.
The twins drove her home to the coast, bantering easily the whole way about the expansion Callum and Rowan were putting together for the gyms. Once parked in the driveway, they carried every last box upstairs to her room.
"Sure you don't want to come out with us tonight?" Mason asked, leaning against her doorframe. "We're meeting up with your brothers down by the marina."
"No, I'm going to unpack and savor being back home. Tell my brothers to keep it down when they roll in."
"We're really glad you're back, Pearl," Logan said as he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her. The embrace was firm and familiar. Sienna was hit with a wave of warmth. Logan smelled clean, like sea salt and cedar.
Just as he stepped back, Mason took his place, folding her into his arms. His hug was tighter, more grounding. She could feel the hard strength in his chest. Mason smelled like crisp mint and leather.
Sienna tried to hide the way her pulse jumped at their touch. The twins had tormented her growing up, hiding her boxing gloves, pulling her pigtails, and jumping out from behind trees. Despite that, she had always harbored a secret, hopeless crush on both of them.
She flopped down on her bed after they left. She wanted to unpack, but the long drive and the breakup drained the last of her energy. She passed out almost immediately.
She woke up later to strong, warm hands on her bare legs.
She shivered under her comforter, and when her eyes fluttered open, she was staring into bright amber eyes.
Logan?
She blinked against the darkness, trying to find her voice.
"I..." She tried to speak, but the moment her lips parted, his lips were on hers.
The feeling of his kiss was overwhelming.
"Is this okay?" Logan whispered against her skin.
"Yes. More please," Sienna breathed with a soft moan.
Logan explored her mouth, slipping his tongue between her lips and savoring her slowly, carefully. His palm cupped her cheek, rough and grounding.
The deliberate slowness built the heat between them until it was almost unbearable.
As those thoughts invaded her mind, she could have sworn another set of hands began exploring her body. Unless she was losing her mind, there were now four hands on her.
Forcing herself to break the kiss, she pulled back and opened her eyes, searching the shadows.
The sight in front of her made her whimper.
Kneeling between her legs, so close that she could feel his warm breath against her thighs, was Mason.
His green eyes had never looked so dark.
Without saying a word, he eased her knees apart, crawling over her as Logan held her close, tracing the sensitive curve of her throat.
Sienna let out a moan, completely giving in to the heat pooling between her thighs.
Before the feeling peaked, her eyes flew open.
The bedroom was silent.
She was alone.
It was just a dream.
The heavy pounding of her heart and the wetness between her thighs were entirely real.
So, unfortunately, was her disappointment.
Under the blankets, she slid her hand down her stomach, reaching her aching core. She pressed two fingers over the cotton of her panties, sliding up and down her folds. The friction made her gasp. She slipped a hand beneath the lace to find her clit, circling it with increasing pressure until her back arched.
What would a man feel like?
And right on the heels of that: What about two men?
Her hips bucked against her fingers as the climax hit her, electric and sharp. She lay there catching her breath, cheeks flushed, staring up at the ceiling.
This was insane. They were completely off-limits. They were her brothers' lifelong best friends. She had known them forever. Wanting one was complicated enough, but both?
When she rolled over and checked her phone, five missed calls and a flood of texts from Austin lit up the screen.
Austin: Sienna, please, don't give me the silent treatment. I made a mistake, it was a moment of weakness. Please talk to me, baby. Austin: Answer me! Austin: Are you at Callum's place? Austin: Remember when you told me about the weekend bonfires? I want to make this right. Please answer me...
She deleted the thread, tossed the phone, and went straight to the shower.
Downstairs, the house was quiet. Callum and Rowan's doors were still shut tight from their Friday night out.
In the kitchen, the morning sun poured over the counters. After months of stale dorm microwave food, having a real stove felt incredible. She hummed quietly, whipping up batter for pancakes and frying bacon and eggs.
"Something smells unbelievable," a deep voice rumbled from the stairs.
Sienna turned to see Callum padding into the room, yawning.
"Hey, Callum," she laughed, wrapping her arms around his middle. "Miss me?"
"Missed having actual food in the house, that's for sure," he teased, kissing her forehead.
Rowan shuffled in right behind him, instantly stealing a strip of crispy bacon from the plate. "If this is what having our little sister back looks like, you're never leaving again."
They sat around the table, digging into the breakfast. Rowan recapped their night at the marina pub, laughing about some girl who tried to climb onto a table.
Sienna sipped her coffee, keeping her tone completely neutral. "So, what did the twins get up to last night?"
Callum chuckled into his mug. "The usual chaos. Some girl in a black dress was hanging all over Logan at the bar, then whispering to Mason five minutes later. By closing time, nobody knew who was leaving with who. Might've been both."
Sienna nearly choked on her coffee. "Both?"
Rowan shrugged, clearly amused. "Who knows with those two?"
Her stomach twisted with a sudden, unexpected spike of jealousy. She had heard the rumors about the twins, but hearing it out loud hit differently. Especially when her own dirty dream was still fresh in her mind.
"Wait," Rowan said, chewing. "Why are you here alone anyway? Where's Austin?"
"Caught him in bed with Amber," she said simply. "Decided he didn't need to join the family vacation."
Rowan's fork slammed down. "What? Do we need to go pay him a visit?"
"No murder necessary," Sienna smiled dryly. "The twins were there when I caught them. Mason took his blanket and Logan locked him out in the dorm hallway stark naked."
Both brothers burst into roaring laughter.
"Those two are absolute menaces," Callum chuckled.
"Protective menaces," Sienna corrected.
"Well, Rowan and I have to inspect some equipment at the south gym later today," Callum said, pushing his plate back. "Before that, we're hitting the pool out back. Twins are coming over. That cool?"
Remembering her dream, Sienna swallowed hard and forced a shrug. "Sure. Whatever."
The sun was beating down on the patio when Mason and Logan walked through the gate, shirtless and barefoot.
Logan nudged Mason with his elbow, nodding toward the lounger by the deep end.
"Damn," he muttered under his breath. "Looks like Callum or Rowan brought someone over, and they definitely upgraded."
The woman stretched out on the cushions was wearing a bright red bikini that left very little to the imagination. Long, toned legs crossed at the ankles, flat stomach, and pale, sun-bleached waves spilling over the headrest.
Then she lifted her sunglasses onto her forehead.
"No fucking way," Logan whispered.
Mason stopped dead in his tracks. "That's... Sienna?"
The skinny girl who used to chase them around the backyard was completely gone. In her place was a woman with curves that pulled every ounce of their focus.
The twins exchanged a stunned glance.
Sienna smirked playfully up at them from the lounger. "You boys planning to stand there gaping all day, or are you actually going to say hello?"
Mason opened his mouth, but nothing came out.
Logan rubbed the back of his neck, his gaze fixed on her.
"We are so fucked," Mason muttered to his brother.
"Oh, absolutely," Logan agreed softly.
