"I'll do anything! I'll become a slave if you want me to! I'll wash with the omegas' if you want me to! I'll do anything. But don't let me go with him, please, father! I'll do anything! I'll kill myself even if you want me to! Father, please!" She pleaded persistently, not minding the looks the people of the pack gave her. *** Kyra Redwood the daughter of the Redwood pack, and the useless and weak princess of the pack has never for once seen love her entire life, even from her parents. Roderick Dark Shield, the head of all devils as known to be, has set his eyes on her and needed something she had in her, something no one could ever possess. Norway Blackthorne, the gentle but dangerous Alpha of all rogues, has set his eyes on her because the devil liked her, and he wanted everything the devil set his eyes upon. Caught in between the two Alphas, each with great power. Would Kyra find love, or would it just be a battle of power?
Kyra
"Tell me the truth, you worthless child!"
"I swear, father! I didn't do it!" I cried while my father whipped his lash at me.
I cried bitterly while my stepmother and stepsister stood aside, laughing at me.
"I saw her taking it, father. Punish her!" Myra said, accusing me.
Father kept whipping me hard, without caring if I died or fainted. He just wanted to pour his anger on me.
The golden ring made for Father by the pack's Goldsmith went missing suddenly. I didn't know until Father stormed into my room and pulled me out like a rag, getting the guards to tie me to the pillar.
I felt my body shivering when Myra accused me of stealing the ring, claiming she saw me.
I told Father I didn't, but my words meant nothing to him. He values my stepmother and stepsister's words more than mine.
"She's a thief! A useless princess that steals," my stepmother insulted.
They instigated my father to hit me more, and he continued to do so without listening to my cries.
"Mother, please help me," I cried out to my dead mother, wishing she never left me alone.
"Worthless, good for nothing, Wolf-less brat!'' Father lashed out once more, giving his final beating.
I was too weak to even move my body. I just remained there on the pillar like a dead person.
I could feel the spring heat on my back, imagining the number of marks that must have appeared there.
"Since you've decided to become a criminal, then I'll treat you like one. You will be locked up in your room with no food until you provide my ring," Father passed his judgment on me.
I just stayed near the pillar as the guards untied my hands.
Father ordered that they take me to my room and lock me up.
"If anyone should give her food or water, then they'd hear from me," he threatened everyone.
The guards dragged me to my room like one who was lifeless. I could tell they were trying to be gentle with me in secret but hard in front of their Alpha.
Once they placed me in bed, they both apologized for the pain, locking me up in my room.
There I lay in bed, shedding tears of pain.
"Why didn't you take me with you, Mom?" I wept, unable to feel parts of my body.
A knock came on the door, followed by laughter outside.
"How's your back?" Myra laughed at me.
"She thought she was smart. Idle daughter my foot. You are worthless, remember that," I heard my stepmother say.
They both laughed at me until they were gone.
But their words increased my pain, making me wish for death.
When the night finally came, I was feeling much better than at noon. It was not the first time I'd been beaten, so I quickly adapted to the pain.
My door came opening with a guard calling me out.
"The Alpha wants you to join him outside," he reported.
When I heard this, I felt my heart pounding. This got me wondering what Father wanted.
"Could he have forgiven me and wants to hear me out?" I assumed, feeling my dream for a fatherly love coming through.
I followed the guard outside the mansion and noticed the pack members gathered around with my father, stepmother, and Myra, looking terrified and serious.
"What's going on here?" I had asked the guard, but he didn't give a response.
"What took you so long?" A deep voice asked from behind, sending a sudden wave of fear into my heart.
I turned around and found Alpha Roderick, the Devil Alpha feared by many, standing right behind me.
His red eyes glowed at me, as he drew nearer to face me. I felt my body go weak, sending my feet back, only to be pushed back by my father, who almost got me on my knees.
"Behave yourself before your husband, Kyra," Father announced, shocking me at once.
"Husband?!" I looked at him, realizing why I was called outside.
My father had sold me to the Devil Alpha for the sake of his pack and home.
"When you're done, bring her to me," Alpha Roderick said, walking past with his eyes on me.
My body trembled at his bloody gaze. I can't marry that man!
Once he was gone, I crawled at Father's feet, begging him not to send me away with Alpha Roderick.
"Is it because of the ring? I'll look for it, Father. I'll look for it!" I cried.
"But please Father, don't let me go with him! I'll do anything! Become a slave if you want me to, wash with the omegas... anything! Father, please, I'll rather die than go with him!" I pleaded persistently, not minding the looks the members of the pack gave me.
"If you say you'd do anything, then go with your husband! He has paid for you, so you have no choice," Father notified me, kicking me with his feet.
I fell to the ground, crying bitterly.
"See this as a chance to be useful to your people for once. You are bringing peace by being his Luna. Don't bring us any more shame," my Stepmother groaned, grabbing me to my feet and pushing me to the guards.
With a signal from Father, the guards pulled me away, taking me to meet Alpha Roderick.
I wept, begging father not to do this to me.
"Father, please! I don't want to go!" I cried, but no one paid heed to my tears. They all acted like I never existed, and that shattered me more.
The guards brought me before Alpha Roderick, who had seen the whole drama with me and my family.
His chilling red eyes darted at me, sending nothing but danger into my soul.
He grabbed me by the wrist tightly and said coldly, "I own you now. You are my bride, Kyra."
Goddess! I'm being given out to the Devil himself as a bride.
