Her mother left her father for a much richer man... she lives with her grandmother and father in an old family house.
Her family wasn't that poor either... Her father worked as a taxi driver, her grandmother owned a family restaurant that made quite a bit of money.
Camille is a very beautiful girl who loves reading more than anything, she has won many prizes and awards for school, but ever since he came, he was all she could think about.
Gray Cole... Just thinking about his name gives her goosebumps.
Although he's a graduate and in college, he's only here for the summer because he has to take a certain exam, so the college appointed Camille as his tutor.
He's been very friendly and kind, sometimes he asks her out... he's like a perfect boyfriend to her only without him knowing.
His dad is a fucking millionaire, which has helped him immensely, he's about to graduate to take over his dad's business.
He's lucky enough to graduate after just spending two years in college, he's just struggling in one particular subject, so the school offered to give it to their best student, which is her .
"Um... um Hi" she said to Gray.
He was in a group of guys wearing a black tank top and black shorts and nothing could make him look hotter... They were on a football field.
"Hi Lunetty," he said. He calls her that since she wore glasses. Most girls would have hated it, but Camille didn't mind.
Camille: "Can you... Can I... Talk to you... alone. I mean, in private?"
"Just say what you want..." He said and she took a deep breath.
"Well, we get along well... and I just wanted to say," she felt all nervous but glanced at her best friend who gave her two thumbs up, urging her to go ahead.
"I've had a crush on you ever since I started this school... and I just thought maybe we could go out together sometime!" She said, looking at the floor all nervous... Her cheek as red as a tomato.
Then he and his guys started laughing. She looked around, feeling embarrassed.
Gray laughed like she was a clown.
___"If you thought me being nice to you was a sign.... Forget it, I was just compensating you since you're tutoring me for no pay."
"I... I thought you liked me" she was about to cry and that made Gray laugh more.
"How can I like you... I mean look at you... you're a nerd with no looks... don't take this the wrong way, but you're ugly. What made you think for one second that you were my type?" he said and he and his gang started laughing.
She walked out, embarrassed... cleaning the tears from her eyes.
Gray couldn't believe it even though she wasn't the first girl to confess her feelings for him but how could she think he could go out with her......*****THREE WEEKS LATER****
It was a new day and Camille walked into the school with her best friend.
"I'm so sorry Cam... I didn't know it would end like this." Mercy has been apologizing to her all week since Gray rejected her in front of practically the whole school.
When she walked into the halls, people started laughing at her... it's not the first time they've treated her like this but this time was different.
Gray is back at college, he passed his exams with flying colors and he's already left...
___"Hey idiot" Mia and her gang normally known as the Panthers came up to her
"I heard you proposed to Gray" Mia told her but she ignored her as she put her books in the locker..
"I mean how can he like you... he's practically the hottest guy in school" she said but Camille wanted to leave but they blocked her.
___"I mean look at you... no big boobs or ass, even the face..."
Which was a lie because Camille was blessed with everything a man could want in a body but she didn't like wearing tight fitting clothes that showed it off especially like theirs... they looked like prostitutes.
"Leave me alone" she said about to leave but the girls held her hand and dragged her to the bathroom
"Hey... leave me" she kept screaming but they didn't and no one came to her rescue
They shoved her head in the toilet..
"That'll teach you not to talk back to us" Mia said and the girls laughed.
They left and she started to cry.
If only she hadn't listened to Mercy... If only Gray had liked her back or at worst rejected her delicately then this wouldn't have happened.
She had been bullied all week but this is the worst of it.
Gray Cole... She thought in her head.
I'll always hate you for this...
*****CAMILLE'S HOUSE*****
Camilla stormed home throwing her bag on the floor.
"Argh" she yelled and her grandmother came out.
"What's up honey... why is your hair like that and why do you stink?" Her grandmother said and she started to cry...
She realized she had been bullied again.
"All I did was confess my love... I don't deserve this" she said and her grandmother caressed her.
"Don't cry... I have some good news, it will cheer you up" she told him and stood up
___" What is it?"
___" We're moving away from this place"
" But what about school and Sam, your restaurant, Dad's taxi" she said
" Your father has decided that life here will not be good for you, a fresh start would be better" her grandmother said and she scoffed.
" I'm fine Granny..." She said sitting on the couch.
" Not with this stench... the bullying is too much and think about it... new school better opportunity for Sam and you could start over, no more bullying... no more Gray Cole" she said and it touched her.
No more bullying or Gray Cole... she could start over.
"But what about your restaurant and how are we going to find a new home?" she asked.
"Um... it's just Los Angeles and I have a friend who lives there, there's money since we sold the restaurant and the house..."
___"What?"... why?" "
"Honey, your dad loves you and your brother so much... You two are all he has and the school authority doesn't seem to be doing anything so he decided a new environment would be better and I agreed" she told him and Camille moaned.
Camille: "But this is our family's home and restaurant... it's your most treasured possession."
"Honey, you and your brother are our most treasured possessions" she said kissing his forehead and walking up the stairs.
Even though it's going to be nice to get away from this drama but it's hard.
She grew up here, but her grandmother and father only want the best for her, so she might as well continue with the plan.
They told her brother and he was a little sad but he was willing to do it for his sister. That's how strong their love is.
She told Mercy and she was crying wishing she hadn't pushed her to ask Gray out...
But she had to make her understand that it was for the best and that it was the best indeed now she can overcome this grief and on to a new beginning...
