Sarah Andrews is a nerd loser who is bullied by everyone in school because of a silly mistake that almost destroyed her relationship with Charlotte, her best friend. Nicholas Granger is the wealthy heir who is set to inherit his father's many companies. He is sent to an average school as a punishment for his non caring attitude towards the business. When Sarah and Nicholas meet... Well, let's see what happens. Rejected Hearts Meet
Sarah looked out to see if anyone was in the hallway. There was no one in sight. She sighed in relief and quickly stumbled her way to her classroom. She was really late. She hugged her books tightly as her classroom was in sight. She silently wished her teacher was late as well. Mrs Craig was known to be punctual and very strict. She peeped into the classroom and saw the teacher, writing on the board. Her back was turned to her. She quietly walked in, hoping not to be seen.
"Miss Andrews." A stern voice called out.
Sarah gulped. Just great. "Y-yes, Mrs Craig?"
"Late and shabby as usual?" The whole class laughed.
Sarah's dirty blond ponytail was a mess. Her knee length red gown was wrinkled. Her white flat shoes were a bit worn out. There were bags under her blue eyes, her face had tiny freckles, her thin lips were a little cracked and her pale skin was rough.
"I'm really sorry. My mum's car broke down, so I had to take the bus. But it took 18 minutes to find one and I was..."
"Ah, yes. Your usual excuses." Mrs Craig said with a bored expression on her face. The class laughed again. Sarah's face reddened with embarrassment.
"Take a seat, Miss Andrews. You might as well catch up on what you have missed."
Sarah walked towards her seat in the right corner of the class which was where her best friend, Charlotte's seat was.
"You are always late." Charlotte said as soon as Sarah sat down on her seat by the window.
"Not my fault." Sarah whispered. "What did I miss?"
"Not much." Charlotte shrugged. "Just first period."
Sarah slumped on the chair as she cursed everything in her head.
Stupid car. Stupid bus. Stupid first period.
The class went on smoothly. Soon enough, they reached the end of it and we're dismissed. Sarah and Charlotte decided to go to their special spot since they were no class for two periods. They had just made it out of the room when the school bully, Ryan bumped into Sarah and knocked her books onto the floor.
"Whoops." Ryan snickered. His minions laughed.
Sarah said nothing. She knelt down to pick her books, only for Ryan to kick some of them to the other side.
"Cut it out, Ryan." Charlotte hissed at him. She didn't like him or anyone that picked on her friend.
"Or what? I never understand why you even defend her or that you are even friends with a loser." Ryan taunted.
Charlotte wanted to punch him but was stopped by her friend. "It's okay. It's not worth it." Sarah told her.
"Yeah. Thought so, loser." Ryan taunted again. Then, he left with his minions.
Charlotte bent down to help her friend. Then, they left for their special spot. It was located at the back of the school. There were two abandoned swings. No one ever came to this part of the school except them. They sat on them. The winds blew lightly at them.
"Why do you always tolerate that bully?" Charlotte asked. "I mean, I could never. You don't even try to defend yourself."
"Because it's not worth it." Sarah answered. All I want to do is finish high school, get into a good college, finish with a good degree and get a job. I don't have time for people like them or anything that could disrupt my plans."
"Really? Not even a boyfriend?" Charlotte teased.
Sarah smiled sadly. "Not even a boyfriend. He wouldn't want someone like me. He would want someone like you."
As much as she hates to admit, Ryan was right. She was a loser. There were times she would wonder why she had Charlotte as a friend. Her friend was perfect. Her lush raven black wavy hair, brown eyes, her full lips and her flawless dark chocolate skin literally screamed perfection. Even her white short sleeved blouse and navy blue jeans were perfect on her slim body. Her white sneakers looked brand new. While she was here, looking like a patched up mess.
She realized that Charlotte was talking and quickly pulled herself out of her thoughts.
"So, anyway. Did you know about the new student that would be joining us tomorrow?"
"No." Sarah said.
Her friend gasped. "Are you kidding me?"
Sarah didn't even get the chance to reply before she continued. "The new student, Nicholas Granger, will be attending this school tomorrow. I heard that he is really handsome. He is going to put all our cute boys to shame. I heard that his dad owns a hotel that has its branches all over the country. Like, he is super rich. And he also has..."
Charlotte raved on about the new student while all Sarah could do was listen. Sarah really never cared about boys. All boys were the same and could never understand what was special about this one. Except the fact that he was rich and that led her to a question.
"If his dad is so rich, why would he put his son in a school like this?"
"Does it matter?" Charlotte scoffed. "An excessively cute boy is coming to our school and you are wondering why his dad put him here. You are a buzzkill."
Sarah rolled her eyes. "Whatever."
The girls talked about other things for hours before they heard the bell. They packed up their books and bags and headed for their next class. When they got to their classroom, the teacher hadn't arrived yet but they heard everyone talking excitedly about the new student.
He wasn't here yet and everyone was talking about him. Sarah thought. Normally, no one cared about a new student but this guy certainly was something.
The teacher came a few minutes later and everyone settled down. Sarah couldn't keep him out of her mind though. What's special about him? She guessed she will find out tomorrow.

"You're mine, little puppy," Kylan growled against my neck. A soft gasp escaped my lips as his lips brushed my skin. My mind screamed at me to push him away-the Lycan Prince who had humiliated me again and again, but my body betrayed me, leaning into him before I could stop myself. He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
