Elizabeth Kingston is only 15 years old and she's gone through more pain than someone should in a lifetime. I'm starting to believe things aren't going to get any better, this was the cards I was dealt. My mother and stepfather have set out to make sure that I remember that am simply nothing. The Kingston family have been grieving the loss of their sister ever since she was taken from them 12 years ago. With a turn of events Elizabeth finds out she has a father and 5 older brothers. Will she be able to be the girl she wished she was or will the truth be revealed first.
The Kingston family was on their way to the hospital to see their new baby sister.
"Dad, is she gonna be tiny?" my twins Ezra and Ezekiel said at the same time.
Before I could answer, Elias spoke first.
"Duh," he then smacked them in the back of their heads, "She was just born."
I couldn't help but laugh at them.
"Alright we're here." They started piling before I even had the SUV in park.
"Dad, can I hold her first?" Elijah, my oldest ask.
"After I hold her you can."
I noticed that Elliott was unusually quiet.
"Eli, what's wrong?"
"What if she doesn't like me?"
I ruffled his hair, "She's going to love you now come on."
----
They made their way into the hospital room, where they saw a little baby wrapped in a pink blanket.
I kissed my wife on the forehead, "Hi, love. How are you feeling?"
"Like I just gave birth."
I picked up my baby girl and held her close to my chest.
"Boys, what do you think we should name her?"
Ezra went first, "What about Eli?"
"That's a boy's name, she's a girl." Ezekiel said with a scoff.
"How about Elizabeth?" Elias said.
"And Rose? Just like mom." Elijah added.
"Huh, Elizabeth Rose Kingston. That sounds nice." Elliott was sporting a huge smile.
"So then it's settled. Welcome to the world Elizabeth Rose Kingston, I promise to protect you always."
I passed my daughter down to Elijah after showing everyone how to hold her properly.
"Don't worry Elizabeth, we'll all keep you safe."
Elias was next, "I'm going to be your favorite."
"No you're not, we are." the twins said.
Elias then passed her to Elliott.
"Look dad, she is holding my pinky. She does like me."
"See I told you."
"Elliott c'mon it's our turn now." The twins started to pout.

For three wholesome years, we all enjoyed spending our time with Elizabeth, our little princess. Wrapped around her brother's fingers.
Although she was close with all of them, it seemed like Elliot was her favorite.
"Daddy, can you read me a book?"
My favorite park of my day ended with tucking her into bed and reading her a story.
"Of course sweetheart, how about the three little bears?"
She nodded her head while laying on my chest.
I only got to five pages and she was out like a light. I pulled her covers back, laid her down, and kissed her forehead.
The next morning, I realized Rose was no longer in the bed. I went in search of her only to no luck, then I realized my princess was no longer in her room.
I started to yell for my boys and one by one they came out of their rooms.
"What's wrong dad?" Elijah asked, wiping sleep from his eyes.
"I can't find your mom or your sister. Do you guys know where they are?"
Ezra and Ezekiel looked at each other then at me. "Mom came into our room when it was still dark and gave us a note."
They pulled it out and handed it to me. I couldn't believe what I was reading, she left and she took my daughter with her.
We searched high and low for years and came up empty.
I thought I'd never see her again, until 12 years later, a phone call changed everything.
