"Because Jason just rejected you, again. Thrice actually" she said blandly and Freya sighed.
"Are you counting?" Freya countered and Vicky eyed her before wiggling her brow and frowning.
"I want to say I am sorry. For blaming me for trying to protect me. I was just angry, but you shouldn't have spilled out secret." She said and Vicky shook her head.
"Shouldn't have spilled your secret" Vicky repeated incredulousy.
"Can you hear yourself Freya, you were bullied and all you care about is some secret" she said and Freya sighed in frustration.
"That secret was important to me" she said in low tones and Vicky scowled.
"Important than your dignity" Vicky growled and Freya shook her head in exasperation.
"That secret was my dignity Vicky" Freya said and Vicky nodded.
"Sure it was" she said and stood.
"You know what Freya, when you are back to your senses. You can talk to me but for now avoid me like a plague" Vicky said and stormed away while she watched her sadly.
"She'll come around" said a familiar voice and Freya smiled before she turned around.
"Martin" she said and the vampire grinned.
"One and only" he said with a smile and she realized how handsome he looked. If only she didn't feel something for Jason, she was sure Martin would have stole her heart. He sat behind her and finished something from his bag.
"You brought me Sandwiches" Freya said in surprise and Martin grinned.
"As an apology" he said and Freya stared at him in confusion.
"Apology?" She said and Martin shrugged, he didn't look happy about what he was about to say.
"For picking a fight with the guy you like. Your mate" he said the last part like it was bile. Freya smiled at him sweetly, amazed at how noble and kind someone could be.
"Gosh, Martin you don't need to apologize" she said and took his hand.
"He was a total jerk anyway" Freya said and Martin nodded.
"Yeah total jerk huh?" He said then he forced a smiled and offered her a sandwich.
"Here, eat something. I saw Jason wrenching his arm from yours." He said and Freya frowned.
"He was upset" She explained and Martin nodded, he looked pained.
"Yeah? You are defending him" Martin said and Freya sighed, she was definitely going to have migraines from all this drama. First, her best friend. Second, Jason. Now Jason.
"Look Martin, about what to said yesterday. I am......."
"Forget it." Martin interrupted. "I meant it but it doesn't matter" he added and Freya nodded slowly. She wanted to tell him that she appreciated his feelings for her but she didn't reciprocate. She could see now that it would only upset him.
"So, bad guy get the girl huh?" Martin said handing her a soda can and Freya forced a smile. Martin popped his drink and gulped it down.
"Of course they always do" he said to himself and took another gulp.

Jason heaved a sigh of relief to his utmost annoyance. He could hear all of Martin and Freya chat and he had felt jealous. It had took all his willpower not to charge over and punch Martin's face all over again. A secret that Jason had always kept to his self was that anytime he fought for Freya. He always felt good and had this sense of accomplishment. Jason pulled his bag down and pulled out a pack of French fries and smiled ruefully to himself. Ever since his wolf had confirmed Freya had his mate, it hadn't let him rest. Though, Jason would not admit it to anyone. It felt okay now to have her as his mate, sometimes when she wasn't looking Jason would take some time to stare at her. He would have loved to paint a picture of her and add it to his gallery. He smiled and brought out a plain paper and some pencils and started a rough sketch, then.....
"Hey" came a familiar voice and with his quick reflexes, the paper was already in the bag. He let out a sigh of frustration.
"Told you to leave me alone" he growled and turned. Behind him was Freya with a can of soda in her hand.'
"Want a Soda?" She said and Jason narrowed his eyes in barely contained fury.
"Did Martin not just gave you that?" He said and her hazel eyes widened in comprehension and surprise.
"Oh sorry" she put her hands behind her. "Stupid of me" she added and Jason nodded in agreement.
"Yes stupid of you. Lucky you didn't bring that stupid sandwich too" she said and Freya eyes met his.
"Did you see that?" She asked softly and Jason eyes darkened, a warning.
"I heard" he grounded out and Freya stepped closer.
"You sound upset" she stated and Jason ocean green eyes bore down on her.
"Nice try idiot" he said and snatched the soda can from her, popped it and drank it.
"Satisfied?" He growled and threw the empty can at her feet.
"Now get lost" he said and she eyed him curiously.
"Don't you feel a thing for me too?" Freya asked and Jason stared at her for a moment and nearly faltered then he let out a cruel, mocking laugh that made Freya feel pretty much embarrassed.
"Feel a thing for you?" He chuckled and he smiled coldly. "No Freya. What I feel is utmost disgust. I hate you" he snappe
