Two best friends grew up together as a family but one moved out and migrated to a different city 12 years later they meet again will they become a chosen family again or has distanced made them distant
Aman's points of View the buzzing sound of my phone becomes horrifying in the morning. not only does it disturb my peaceful sleep but also gives me impossible tasks. because only 2 people dare to call me this early. And neither of them calls me this early without any reason yet, the phone was ringing and ringing and I had no interest in picking up the call. If it is that important it will ring again.
And it did ring I had no choice but to receive it, but where the hell did I throw my phone, my eyes are still droopy so I used my hands for the work, after putting my hands on a few empty packets of chips I finally got my phone and received it. "Hello,"my voice was husky enough for the person on the other end to know I am sleepy. "I knew it, you lazy soul, I have very urgent work assigned for you" the grandmother of my Company's CEO barked. "you old lady today is Sunday and I need to sleep call me in the noon I am sure your urgent work can wait" I peeked at the clock while uttering those words and it was hardly 8am. "I wish it could wait my dear" the worry in her voice annoys me. as her grandchild is not in town and this woman has no one but me to help her."what isit?"I asked. "Can you please arrange a very low on rent room and a flight ticket for a girl to move in by tomorrow?" she asked. "excuse me! are you joking with me this is Mumbai." "I know but this girl is in very much trouble, and she needs to come to Mumbai tomorrow." "what does she do? I mean what would be the budget, how much deposit can she pay?" I asked to know this unknown girl's limits in paying rent. "about that... can you please send her some money for her survival till she gets the job, and at the down payment do pay that as well " so here comes another day dreamer, how in hell someone can decide to migrate to Mumbai without savings. "Okay, just send me her bank details I would do the rest" I hope this girl is not somecon artist. Nani is so caring at the same time gullible she is prone to attractsuch people.
Opening the curtains I let the morning sunlight come into my room. then went to the kitchen, Mahira was making breakfast for us
"you woke up this soon!" she asked in amazement
"yea Nani called"
"hmm, want some tea"
"of course!"
"you get only one Sunday to sleep that also goes into Nani's trivial duties" along with tea I grabbed some toast and started applying butter.
"Izhaan is also not here Mahira, who would she call other than me" Mahira simply rolled her eyes
Post breakfast Mahira left for her home, yes she sometimes stays here and has her breakfast but she has her own place. In the same building, she has an identical penthouse. From our penthouse, we could see the worli sea face, and welcome the morning sunlight. Apart from similar houses we also share the same office, she is the head designer whereas I am the chief operating officer along with co-founder of the company.
My entire Sunday got spoilt in making arrangements for this damsel in distress. But she is lucky to have someone like me. or she would not have gotten any place to reside in Mumbai. at least not these soon with such a low budget. As she is the lucky one, I found her a place exactly in front of Nani's mansion. with this, I can actually keep an eye on her in case she turns out to be a con artist. as my home is not far from where Nani's mansion is. I did pay the deposit, transferred some amounts of money to her account and booked the flight ticket. i don't know who this Aahana is but she seems to be in a hurry to leave Lucknow.
Finally, at 8pm, I got done with Aahana's duty, and Mahira came in.
"How was your Sunday," I asked
"Can't you see the glow I went to the spa, and also did my nails" she showed me her nails.
"so it's my turn for the movie" she coaxed
"what are we going to watch?" I asked her in disappointment
"inception," she said gleefully.
Mahira loves watching psychological thrillers. And I hated them. especially one with open endings. I mean people read or watch stories to entertain themselves. Or to realise their stress, and these open ending psychological thrillers do no help in it. instead, they exhaust your brain even more. But if watching these movies entertains Mahira then be it, I don't mind. But will I let it go! No way. tomorrow I will make her watch Sholay. The true definition of entertainment is a proper Bollywood masala film.
Aahana seemed to be a very coy and well-mannered girl. her flight was 30 mins delayed and she apologized for the same, as it was her fault.
"thankyou so much for picking me up, actually I had never been to Mumbai before, and am really sorry to disturb you on a busy Monday." Here, she again said sorry.
"that's alright you are Nani's guest and she is my person" I stated
While putting her luggage in the bag I noticed she hardly brought anything she only had 2 suitcases. We went to her new house real estate agent was already present. She looked around the house, she looked a bit sceptical about the place but did not utter anything, it was a one-room kitchen in a chawl.
Before she speaks, I stated "I know the room is small, but your budget and urgency were taken into consideration, real estate in Mumbai is a pretty big deal"
"no nothing like that, it's a good place thankyou."
"is the agreement ready," she asked the agent. we made her sign the agreement and completed the formality of her tenancy. Later on, I took her to Nani's place. And she was so happy to know Nani stays in the same area.
"thankyou so much for the house, and you have no idea how much grateful I am that my house is near Nani's place" hearing her thankyou's and sorries I wonder how would Izhaan react. That guy hardly utters those words and knowing Nani she would definitely introduce them. god, save Izhaan. dropping her I left for the factory a new consignment of machinery is getting delivered and I had to make sure labours learn to work on it as soon as possible. He pressed his lips against mine, and his kiss grew more aggressive, more possessive as I felt my legs weaken. What was I doing? In a split-second, I pulled away and slapped him hard across the face. Kylan's eyes darkened, but the smirk on his lips exposed his amusement. "You and I both know we can't fight this, Violet," he said, gripping my wrist. "You're my mate." "And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
