Envied by many, a shining star, the wife to the most eligible billionaire and named as the next big thing, was Sheila. But Sheila was simply just living. Her parents couldn't bear the sight of her as they thought her to be shameless and her husband of five years, her first love hated her guts. She could not even end it all as she had made a promise to her sister but it was too much to bear. The fake smile, the radiant face, the whole facade was her only life.
They both arrived inside the mansion.
Sheila held her gown, ready to go upstairs to her room when she felt a hand on her shoulder.
" It couldn't be him" she thought.
But the touch felt familiar. Even though it had been years, she still remembered how it felt
She feared that if she turned, she would realize that it was someone else, just a figment of her imagination since she was a little bit tipsy.
" Are you happy?"
She turned back and there he was, standing, his voice holding the disgust and hate he felt even in the darkness.
"Nathaniel" she called his name.
" You have no right to call that name " He said.
" Nathaniel " She called out again, still at shocked that he had spoken more than two words to her, no matter how condescending he may have seen.
"Are you happy?" He asked again.
" I don't understand" she said.
" You finally have her life so you should be happy" He spat out.
" I also didn't wish for it to happen to her" she said.
" You seem to be enjoying her life so much" He said
Instead of saying anything, she bent her head because she knew there was nothing else she could say.
She tried explaining herself that day but no one had paid her any heed and all they saw was that stubborn, selfish girl that they all thought her to be.
" You suddenly can't speak" He said as he held her chin, forcing her head up.
His strong hands held her chin, his fingers pressing deep on her face as he spoke. The pain was nearly impossible to bear but his words somehow managed to cause her more pain.
" Nathaniel, you are drunk" she managed to say on seeing his red eyes and being close enough to feel his breath on her.
" You took everything from her, including her life and you still have the guts to look all happy while receiving an award that is meant for her"
His eyes deepened as he said that, his face looking extremely terrifying.
" Nath!!" She called out, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. This was the first time she was truly afraid of him.
" You manipulated me into this marriage knowing fully well that she was the only one in my heart. Is this the life you want?"
His hands which have lost its grasp on her face already suddenly grabbed her again as he place a forced kiss.
She tried struggling but she was no match to him.
He held her head closely as he kissed her deeply, his mouth struggling to gain full entrance into her.
He got his opportunity when she tried gasping for air. He slid in as his tongue fought for dominance.
Soon enough, he struggles stopped and her moans was heard. This was after all, the man she loved all her life.
The kiss stopped abruptly and Sheila's face was flushed with her lips that was swollen.
" Strip for me"
She heard him say while she was still recovering from what just happened.
" You are drunk" She said instead.
Her husband of five years had never touched her. He never even spoke to her and always looked disgusted by her.
She understood him well. She also hated herself, she was simply a disaster to everyone's life.
The next thing she felt was the cold sipping in as her clothes were shred into pieces.
He took her, right there on the sofa like a wh*re, pounding her as if his life depended on it.
Everything still felt surreal to Sheila. This was the same man that has occupied her thoughts for the longest time.
Right now, she did not care that he would was going to regret it or even about the sharp pain that she was having because of how rough her first time sex was.
What she knew was that this moment might never come again so she surrendered herself fully to him.
His grunts and her moan filled the whole room.
After a long time, his grunt stopped as he laid down on her and fell asleep immediately.
" Nathaniel" she called out to him but got no response.
She looked up at his face, a tiny light outlining his facial structure.
" I am sorry" She said before falling asleep.
