The smile on my face immediately disappeared. "Why can't you accept me? Mates are blessings" "Don't you know an Alpha's mate must be the Luna of the pack, but look at you, do you think you're worth the Luna title. You're just an Omega. Better still, a lowly servant." As soon as I heard the word 'Omega', I brought myself out of my fantasy world. "It's never going to happen" I said inside my head, so no one heard it except me.
Hi! I'm Ruby.
I am the youngest of Omegas, often referred to as worthless and wolf less.
I have never shifted, neither have I met my wolf, but that's not the case for other wolves. Most of them already met their wolf, shifted and even found their mate.
I do not know who my parents are, neither do I know why they abandoned a newborn baby in front of the pack.
Ever since I was a kid, I was always looked down upon by others. Some said I was a curse, others said I'm evil and that is why my parents had dumped me at the pack.
I was humiliated every day and treated like trash by other werewolves. In fact, no one wanted to be my friend.
The only humane treatment I get from the pack is the fact that I'm provided with shelter, asides that, it's a living hell.
The pack is a magnificent building, surrounded by tall trees and beautiful flowers. Something similar to the castles in those fairytale movies.
Being an outcast, I have to clean, scrub, wash, cook and in most cases, I also serve as the scapegoat, the target of the Alpha two daughter's aggression.
On one occasion, Lucy, the youngest daughter of Alpha Derek, had called me out from the midst of other servants and asked me to make her something to eat.
"Hey! You, yes, the worthless Omega, go into the kitchen now and make me something to eat." She said, staring at me.
"Me? But...". I stuttered out of shock.
"Are you still standing there?" She yelled without letting me finish my statement.
I didn't want to look at her in the face because that would only attract more punishment. I'm three years older than her, but she never addresses me with any formality.
Having no choice, I didn't object to the order but bowed and left for the kitchen.
When the meal was set, I portioned it and brought it to Lucy who was sitting in the living room with her elder sister, Grace.
I dropped the food and turned to leave but was stopped.
"And where do you think you're going to?" Lucy backed.
"To attend to other things." I said with my head bowed.
"So, are you indirectly saying you're busy unlike me who is jobless and have nothing to do?" She inquired.
"No, that's not what I meant."
"Come here. Kneel down on all fours." Grace commanded.
As soon as I knelt down, Lucy placed the food tray on my back and began to eat.
Before I knew it, Lucy kicked me with her feet, making the hot food pour on my neck while some splashed to other parts of my body.
"Are you insane! Do you want to kill me?" She roared out.
"Did she put something in the food?" Grace asked, getting furious by the minute.
I shivered on feeling the hotness of the porridge on my body. It burnt to the point that I had to sweep it off my body groaning in pain.
Still suffering from the burns, I packed the remnants into the plate and stood up ready to leave.
"Did she really put something in the food, was it too peppery?" I heard Grace ask.
I slowed down my pace so I could hear Lucy's reply.
"Not at all, in fact, the food is so nice. It's such a pity it had to go to waste. I'm just having fun with her." She giggled.
I felt really bad. I wanted to turn back and hit her hard on the head, but I dare not. I tightened my grip around the tray and left the living room.
I have never for once had a good day in my nineteenth year of staying at the pack house, but today was a whole different day.
It is my twentieth birthday, and I am in my room celebrating all alone as usual, when all of a sudden, a green wavy light came out of me, shaping into something mesmerizing before my eyes.
"Who are you?" I questioned shaking on the spot in total shock.
Its eyes glowed as it stared directly into my eyes. Its aura is terrifying leaving me in horror.
I've seen wolves with blue, yellow and gold, but a wolf with purple eyes?
