Stacy almost chuckled but she couldn't. As much as she wanted to "loosen up", she could barely even move because she knew she did not belong there. She was supposed to be at home, in her study room with her sketch pad designing killer dresses for her interview coming up in barely two weeks, not here in this overcrowded room with people who looked like they had no plans for their lives. What was she doing here again?
" Theresa" Stacy called to her sister who was gulping down a glass of alcohol. What! Was that her fourth glass already? Stacy thought.
" Theresa" Stacy called again. The music was ear-splitting so she had to as well raise her voice because her sister was probably getting deaf already.
" Theresa..." she said, grabbing her sister's hand and facing her, " Theresa, I don't think I can be here anymore"
" What? What did you say? I can't hear you" Theresa yelled like a maniac.
" I said, I can't stay. I want to go home" Stacy tried again, she could barely even hear herself.
" What? Do you want to go drunk? Why then are you here sis?"
" What the...? That's not what I said"
" I'll be upstairs with the birthday boy. Have fun darling"
" What? No! Theresa, don't leave..." she stopped herself just in time to watch the retreating figure of her sister. Well, this was just great!
The last time Stacy had been at a party was four months ago when her boyfriend of three years had called her basic and broken up with her. She was over him, well she was trying to get over him but being here in this party brought back a lot of memories, and as much as she wanted to shut them out, they were taking control.
Joey had been the best thing to happen to her until he was not. Now she was alone, trying to get her shit together. She thought she was doing well but it turned out she was not because why else would being at a party remind her so much of the jerk she had loved with all her heart and make her want to cry so badly? Why the hell was she even here in the first place?
Stacy blinked back tears that we were almost falling. Impulsively, she grabbed a glass from a passing waiter and without checking what was in it, she gulped it down. She knew how bad a decision that was but she needed it. That was what she told herself as she picked a second glass of what she guessed to be vodka. Stacy could feel her head spinning as the burning sensation traveled down her chest. She had always been a lightweight and Joey had almost always been embarrassed whenever she got drunk. Why the hell was she still thinking of Joey? So she picked up another shot of vodka from the waiters who seemed to be everywhere and gulped it down. Now she could feel her chest burning. Her face was getting hot too. Great! She was getting drunk and her sister was nowhere to be found. She had to find Theresa and leave and she had to do that before her drunken self would create a scene.
Stacy closed her eyes briefly and took in a deep breath trying desperately to stay in control. The alcohol was pushing in her system, she could feel it. She had to leave this party soon. With the little bit of strength she still had, Stacy staggered her way through the crowd of people. Theresa had said she would be upstairs with the birthday boy so that was where she would check.
The stairs were less crowded and Stacy thanked her stars. Her eyes were starting to spin, the alcohol was winning.
" Deep breath Stacy. Don't let the alcohol win" she mumbled to herself as she took the first step up the stairs, the second, and the third. She was barely at the fourth step when she bumped hard into someone. She could feel herself falling and then she was not. The hand around her waist felt too real, why did it send bumps through her skin?
Stacy looked up to the person that she had bumped into. She swallowed, for the umpteenth time that day. The face staring at her was intimidating, but it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. His eyes were a deep shade of brown and they were icy cold, probably meant to scare the life of anyone who looked into them. She was scared as expected but she was in his arms also, little wonder she could feel the middle in between her legs start throbbing.
In one swift movement, while she was busy staring at the man in front of her, he pulled her up to himself and Stacy yelped as her hands landed on his broad shoulders. What was that liquid trickling down her panties?
Andre watched her every movement and without being told, he knew he had her enchanted. It was easy to understand why but what he didn't understand was that spark that ran down his nerves as he pulled her to himself. She smelt of lavender, his favorite. And the way her lips were parted was such a turn-on. Without thinking, Andre buried his face into her neck and sniffed. He heard her moan lightly and he groaned as he felt his manhood rise. What happened next was unexpected.
Stacy, coming to her senses probably after feeling his erection due to how close they were, pushed the man who was sniffing her neck as his life depended on it. She almost fell in the process but she managed to maintain her balance.
" What the fuck?" She yelled.
She heard him groan again, low and sexy. What was she even thinking?
" You don't go around using the f-word with anyone you see, especially not me," Andre said, his voice doing no good to the situation Stacy was in dripping for a stranger.
" You don't go around sniffing the neck of any girl you see, especially not me" she fired back, trying to sound confident when she wasn't even half of it.
" You liked it," Andre said.
" You moaned" He added taking a step towards her and her taking one back.
" Well I must say you liked it even more by that bulge in your trousers" Stacy blurted, immediately wishing she didn't.
He smirked, even though that was sexy as hell to Stacy.
" Your eyes went to the wrong place," Andre said again with a low groan.
Stacy closed her eyes and shook her head. She was drunk and if she continued this conversation, she would only embarrass herself more.
" You're such a pervert" Stacy spat as she walked past him. Their shoulders brushed and Stacy felt the bumps run through her skin again. What was wrong with her?
