Chapter 1 Looming reality

Olive felt her world was about to crumble when the doctor broke the terrible news of the state of her mother's health to her and her father, Mr. Paul Winston.

She had always dreamt of enrolling into a fashion school with the money she had saved up from the menial jobs she has been doing to master the art of making elegant outfits for high-class society women. And eventually grow her own clothing line business, make money and take care of her parents.

These thoughts ran through her mind while she sat staring into thin air as the doctor kept talking.

Tears ran down her cheeks as she couldn't utter a word, she felt broken.

“Olive, Olive,” the Doctor called.

She regained herself and burst into tears. Her father held her hand and placed her head on his shoulder.

Thank you, doctor, Mr. Paul replied to the doctor.
