They had large farms in the province where they planted their grapes and other wine products.
The couple was very rich and well known for their kind hearts and loving nature.
Sadly, they passed away in a fire outbreak in one of their factories when Sheryl was just 6 and she had to move to her grandparents house.
Her grandparents had a small house in the province and a grape vineyard which they took good care of.
Her grandparents told her that the first grapes in the farm were planted by her father and he also used them to make his first wine sample.
Ever since Sheryl learnt of that, she decided to take over her father's dream and build it again but her grandparents were against it.
They strictly told her not to ever indulge in the wine business.
It was the same thing that killed her parents and they did not want to lose her in the same way.
They knew it wasn't as simple as it was and that's why they did everything possible to stop her from following that path.
Even when Valjay wines was forcfully taken away, the old couple just let it go easily to keep Sheryl safe.
But Sheryl was a stubborn girl.
She learnt a sample of wine from her father when she was four and she kept on making it secretly.
It went on for some time until one day her grandfather found out.
"Grandpa, I promise I won't indulge in the wine business but at least let me make wine for you and our neighbours. I promise I won't sell wine to anyone grandpa. I won't even let anyone know that I make wine. Please don't stop me. I know you are doing all this to protect me, you fear that I might die just like my parents. But just trust me grandpa. I won't even let anyone know who my late parents are" begged Sheryl until her grand father couldn't stop her anymore.
So every Saturday, Sheryl always created a new sample of wine for her grandparents to have dinner with.
But as she grew up, life was getting tougher for them.
Sometimes she would miss school due to lack of school fees and she would sell farm products with her grandparents who were getting older by the day.
She had to do something about her future too.
So when she completed highschool, Sheryl decided to do some part time jobs to get money for her college enrolment.
With her good farming skills taught by her grandparents, she managed to get a job to work as a farmer in the Mendoza's vineyard.
The vineyard was bigger than that of her grandparents and what she enjoyed most was growing the grapes.
Anything to do with farming was something that Sheryl enjoyed the most.
For months now, she had been working with the Mendoza's and they liked her alot but the money she got wasn't enough for her.
She always planned on saving, but each time she got home, her family situation was getting worse.
Many things were needed that her grandparents couldn't afford.
Besides, her grandmother had diabetes and she needed to get her medicine everyday on time.
Sheryl would pretend that she saved up money and gave all her money to her very old grandparents.
They had worked hard for her and given her everything ever since her parents passed away, so she was going to do anything for them.
They were very old now and could just do some little labour in their small vineyard.
They could no longer work and had no choice but to let Sheryl help them by doing some part time jobs.
They felt like a burden each time Sheryl had to give them money but Sheryl was always a joyful girl.
She never let them feel sad or feel like a burden to her.
Infact she felt like she was the burden herself.
Over the past 15 years, Sheryl had made over 1000 samples of wine and her grandparents had kept them in safe place.
Now just 2 weeks were left to the college enrolment and she had no cent in her savings.
She usually kept papers in the piggy bank just to fool her grandparents.
One morning as she walked to work, Sheryl had so many things in mind.
She wondered where she would get her enrolment money from.
How was she going to convince her grandparents this time?
They would be heartbroken to hear that she didn't save up anything just for them.
They will feel like they are troubling her and Sheryl didn't want that.
She kept walking aimlessly on the road when a car almost ran over her.
The man himself was driving so fast and when he saw the young lady walking aimlessly on the road, he had to do something really quick.
He honked severally but to no avail so he had to take a quick turn to escape the lady but he ended up knocking his black Lamborghini on a tree and even slightly hit his head on the steering wheel.
He quickly stepped out of the fuming car and walked towards Sheryl fuming just like his car and anger written all over his face which was bent as he walked towards Sheryl.
"Are you okay?" Sheryl asked after seeing his bleeding forehead and he just slightly lifted his head and looked at her.
"Are you mad!" He yelled and Sheryl gave him the 'whaat' look.
