Chapter 1 1

Richard's Perspective

Every morning, I rise at 5:30 a.m. and start my workout at 5:45 a.m. It lasts until 6:30 a.m., after which I head to the shower before going to work.

I neatly roll up the sleeves of my crisp white shirt and put on black trousers, a well-fitting belt, and polished shoes. My wristwatch adorns my wrist, and I style my hair before applying cologne to my neck and wrists. With my phone safely tucked into my pocket, I leave the bedroom.

I make a quiet visit to my little girl's room. There, I smile as I see her, curled up like a small ball on her big bed, hidden beneath pink covers. She clings to her favourite toy unicorn, hugging it tightly.

As I step into the room, I gently shut the door behind me and approach my daughter, crouching beside her bed.

"Sweetheart, it's time to wake up," I softly murmur, tenderly stroking her back. She snuggles closer to me, emitting an adorable hum in response.

"Come to me, Daddy."- she murmured, holding my hand so gently, making me smile.

She lightly nudged me to lie down and I complied, cuddling her lovingly. She hid in my arms, looking utterly invisible in them, and snuggled into me, pulling covers on me too.

"You are so huggable, daddy."- sighed my little girl as I smiled brighter.

"You are just as cuddly, sweetheart."- I spoke profoundly, kissing the top of her little head.

I cuddled Zara for a little bit more while she slowly woke up, turning into my adorable and very hyper sunshine. I chuckled when she eagerly climbed into my arms and clung to me like a little koala, looking so winsome.

"Ready to start the day, honey?"- I asked her contentedly, hugging her lovingly, and carried her to her bathroom.

"I cannot wait to start the day."- she chirped energetically, as I sat her down in the large sink area.

She brushed her teeth and did her routine on her own, being such a wonderful girl. We relocated to her closet and she picked an outfit for the day, going for a Burberry dress. I helped her with clips on her shoes and took a suitable coat in a beige colour for her to wear.

She sat down at her vanity and I brushed her rich brown, velvety, voluminous, long hair as we chatted nicely about the upcoming day. I pinned a few strands at the back of her head and brushed the ends, making sure her lustrous hair was thoroughly brushed.

Once she was all set and took her unicorn, we went downstairs I held her tiny hands, supporting her when we walked down the stairs.

"Good job, dear."- I praised her sincerely, gladly picking her up when she lifted her small arms.

She kissed my cheek and I kissed her forehead, smiling at my gorgeous daughter. I carried her to the dining room, where breakfast was already waiting for us.

"Oatmeal?"- Zara chirped happily at the sight of one of her favourite breakfast choices.

I chuckled at her cuteness and sat her down, taking a seat next to her.

"Eat up, sweetheart. We have a long day ahead."- I spoke warmly, handing her berries, knowing that if it is oatmeal - berries are a must for her.

We ate breakfast while conversing wholesomely. I gladly listened to her telling me about what she dreamt of. After that, I took the keys from the black Bentley and we got going.

I take her to work because I do not want any fucked up strangers watching over my little daughter, especially after the first and the last nanny: she didn't even bother to keep an eye on my child; she just sat and did nothing. Being a multi-billionaire and a single dad, I put the last above all business. She is my everything, there is nothing I wouldn't do for my girl. I make time for her no matter where I am, what I am doing and who is with me.

"Daddy?"- she called softly as I fastened her seat belts.

"Yes, darling?"- I replied warmly, granting her all of my attention.

"Can I attend ballet classes, please? I want to dance ballet."- pleaded sweet Zara, smiling winsomely.

"Of course, dear."- I agreed with the greatest pleasure, smiling brightly.

"Thank you so so so so much."- she said excitedly, hugging me securely.

"Always, honey."- I replied happily, kissing her cheek.

I gave her tiny frame a gentle squeeze and she smiled delightedly, looking so pure and sweet. I closed the car door and took the driver's seat, buckling up before driving out of the garage.

She told me more about her passion for ballet and I smiled in joy, truly being glad that she likes something so much: she loves going to opera, watching ballet at any chance given, likes classical music and adores the attires of ballet dancers.

In no time we arrived at the company; I parked in the private parking lot, which is just for the closest people - my best friend/right hand, personal assistant and parents. I helped her out of the car and set her on the ground, not letting go until I was sure that she was steady on her feet.

My little girl held my hand securely as we headed inside. She politely greeted every person, being such a sweetheart. The two of us got in the lift and reached the 20th floor in no time, going to my office.

"Uncle Justin, hi."- chirped Zara, energetically as we came across my best friend.

"Well hello there, little lady. You look fabulous."- he replied friendlily as she giggled cutely, twirling around, never letting go of my hand.

"Hey, man."- I spoke calmly, returning his brotherly hug.

"Hey, bro."- he laughed, making me chuckle.

We went to my office and Valerie, my assistant, brought us the usual morning coffee, as well as a shit load of paperwork for me.

"Valerie, find the best ballet school, please."- I told her collectedly, drinking my black, sugar-free coffee.

"On it, Mr Dixon."- he replied, noting the task down before getting to it.

Zara sat down on my lap and coloured the colouring book with flowers. I wrapped my arm around her petite frame, keeping her secure, and got to work, signing and analysing files, reports and documents.

"Look who I met last night."- stated Justin, showing his phone on my face.

"For heaven's sake, I don't want to know about your love life."- I said, really not wanting any details.

"Because it is about time you get a love life of your own."- groaned Justin, plopping on the armchair.

"You need to get off and I am sure she wouldn't mind having a lady in the house."- stated my friend and I sighed heavily, glancing at my sweetheart.

That's the thing: I want a lady - a proper, well-mannered, elegant, kind, tasteful, patient, gentle, loving, intelligent woman. I couldn't care less about skin colour, religion, race - any of that shit doesn't matter. Before anything I want Zara to like her, to be comfortable with her and to trust her.
