“Thank you Mr Frederick, it’s nice to see you after all these years” She replied through gritted teeth as she took the seat and there was no doubt that she wasn’t pleased to see me at all.

“So miss Scarlett, what brings you to my office after all these years? You don’t look like someone who’s into the business line and I’m sure you know I’m not the one who offers jobs… So, what brought you here? Perhaps an apology?” My voice was filled with bitterness and sarcasm.

“An apology?” She dropped absentmindedly.

“Yes, so after all these years you’re wondering if it isn’t too late for us to come back I guess? But let me tell you something, it’s too late and you can use the door” I continued and her eyes widened when she realized how correct I am. She stood up immediately, anger and disgust.

“Never in my life have I met someone as obnoxious and despicable as you! You know what? Fuck you! I hate you! I’m out.

You can kiss my ass goodbye” She ranted and pushed herself forward. With her anger I knew that I had said the wrong thing and fucked things up.

But if she wasn’t here for a relationship then what brought her here? The Scarlet I knew was never a business woman but I guess a lot has changed, it's been three years.

“Well you can leave! The door is that way after all” I pointed at the door and she walked out, slamming the door. Her presence had completely ruined my day.

How dare she barge into my office and act like she’s innocent one minute and the next act like she doesn’t know about what I’m talking about.
