Chapter 1 Cottage day nursery

The sun was just starting to peek through the curtains on this lovely Friday morning, a phoebe was reaching out from the covers to put her phone on snooze for the second time this morning. This week had been so draining who said opening your own day nursery was going to be fun. (If you find them please tell them they lied).

As soon as the alarm went off for the third time phoebe decided it was really time she got out of Bed, so as she did she called for Alexa to start the coffee machine and to play some relaxing music in the bathroom. She popped the shower on and brushed her teeth before jumping in the shower. As she started to pour the shower gel out of the bottle it awoke her senses to the natural smell of lemons, as she washed her body she listened to the lovely nature sounds that played around her. Soon it was time for phoebe to get out the shower and get dress ready to start the day, even though the day consisted mostly of filling forms and planning an open day for new prospective parents and children. She thought she best dress respectfully and not in her gym wear like she had been wearing when moving all the rooms resources around. As she did have three interviews and one show around booked in today. She decided to put on a black aline dress which she accessorised with a gold belt at the waist and some little Dollie shoes to finish it off. They she headed down stairs and grabbed her thermal cup and put her coffee in before getting in to the car. As she was driving down the road she decided to stop off at the bakery and pick up some croissants, a selection of danishes and some cookies. As Phoebe arrived at the nursery and got out the car juggling numerous things as she made their way to the door, as she pull the keys out of her bag, nearly dropping content within her arms in the process, she finally made her way in the door. The first stop was the kitchen, where she put the kettle on and made a self, a fresh cup of coffee and grab the plate. Then placed a hand in the small brown paper bag and pulls out the content and put it on the plate with both items within hand. she made her way to the office, she powered on the laptop and took a nice big sip of her coffee and took a bite of her croissant just in time for the phone to ring.

Phoebe quickly swallowed the croissant within her mouth before answering the phone, and it was the new hired maintenance man, he was such a lovely kind old man and nothing was too much trouble for him. He rang just to make sure Phoebe didn't need anything and to let her know he was running a little bit late. As he had to pick up a part in order to fix the playhouse on the sandpit within the garden. As soon as she put the phone down, she started to fill out forms and to start organising the open day. That's when there was a lovely knock on the door as Phoebe open the door it was her first interview of the day, let's just say it was not the best but the was definitely worse of follow as the day went on. Nothing seems to be going right today. At the end of the day phoebe had nothing left to give an just sat there and put her head in her hands, just as tears started to form in her eyes the phone rang, she was in two minds whether to answer it or not but she was so glad when she did. It was her best girl friends Freya, Lydia and Jackie on a group chat, they all told her to cheer up get home and get ready, they had tickets to some event. Phoebe really didn't want to go but she couldn't let the girls down.

Phoebe had been friend with these girls for what seems like for ever but there personality where completely different, it was like chalk and cheese. Phoebe was the quiet and reserved one, but don't be fooled she is definitely one to stand her own ground if and when needed to do so. Past experience has make her need to be, she has not always had the best relationship and has needed to be able to handle her self and not to let people take her for a ride.

Once phoebe has finished up she went and jumped in the car and made her way home, after having a little something to eat she got her self ready for the night. She didn't know what type of even she was going to just Jackie had got them free of her brother Ethan who was an event organiser, he also had the hots for phoebe but she just seen his as a little brother. As she didn't know what to wear she put on her leather jeans and a white of the shoulder top. She let out her long wavy hair and let it fall down her back and she was ready to go. She made her way to a little restaurant where she met up with the girls and Ethan. They had a little bite to eat and a couple of pre drinks. Then they made there way over to a big building which to be fair looked like it had seen better day, they walked straight to the front and the security check the tickets and greeted Ethan with a hand shake and a slap on the back before telling him he was a lucky man to be escorted by so many lovely ladies. As the doors opened and they walked in it was really dark and phoebe couldn't see where on earth she was going and the was a really funny smell in the air. It was a mix of stale alcohol, sweat and they continued to walk up ahead the was a light and lots of noise coming from within, what on earth had she let her self in for.
