The arrival of this prophecy created chaos between the two brothers. It worsened when a new species of vampires, known as hunters, emerged. Unlike regular vampires, hunters could withstand sunlight, consume any food, and mate with anyone. Walter became a hunter after developing these signs, and Falcon grew fearful of his brother's potential role in fulfilling the prophecy. Consumed by fear of his own defeat, Falcon decided to eliminate all the hunters to prevent the prophecy from coming true. He waged a rebellion and killed all the hunters, except for Walter, who managed to escape. In response, the vampires fought back and banished the Lycans into exile.
Years later, Raymond entered a room where his pregnant human partner, Vanessa, peacefully slept. As a vampire hunter, their bond was unbreakable, and it allowed Vanessa to carry their child. After briefly cherishing the moment, Raymond put on his jacket and left the house.
At the Vampire Coven, Raymond entered through a large gate. Craven expressed concerns about Raymond's risks, emphasizing that just because he was a hunter who could mate with humans did not mean it was wise to do so. Raymond dismissed the concerns, teasing Craven about his worry over Vanessa. However, Craven proceeded to inform Raymond that the Lycans had become more powerful and were likely to do anything to prevent the fulfillment of the prophecy. Recognizing the potential danger, Raymond vowed to be cautious and asserted that if the Lycans sought trouble, he would give it to them.
Back at Vanessa's apartment, her younger sister, Charlotte, surprised her with a visit. As they chatted and laughed, Raymond entered the room. After exchanging pleasantries, Raymond whispered to Vanessa that he needed to rest, and she agreed. Vanessa then showed Charlotte to the guest room.
As Vanessa peacefully slept, Raymond anxiously paced in a forest, awaiting the arrival of the Lycans. With vampires backing him up, Raymond intended to negotiate with the Lycans. When they arrived, tensions rose as the Lycans surrounded the vampires. Raymond, seeking an agreement, demanded to speak to the Alpha. Marcus, the Alpha, sarcastically inquired about why Raymond, a hunter, had invited him.
Raymond introduced himself as the leader of the vampire clan and proposed an agreement: the vampires would offer a portion of their land in exchange for the safety of humans. Marcus questioned Raymond's motives and compassion for humans. Raymond, not willing to discuss his reasons, pressed for an agreement. Eventually, Marcus agreed to the terms, impressed by Raymond's resolve.
Before departing, Marcus questioned Raymond's motives in protecting humans and his involvement in preventing the prophecy. Craven, unable to keep silent, revealed that Marcus was aware of the prophecy. Raymond directed a glare at Craven, warning him to stay silent. Marcus dismissed Raymond's threat and transformed into a wolf, along with his pack, before running off.
Impressed by Marcus's audacity, Craven whispered to Raymond, who threatened to silence him if he spoke out of turn again. Raymond then walked away with the vampires following closely behind.
