CHAPTER ONE.
There lived a boy named Alex. He was the most beautiful person inside and out. His eyes were like the sky on a clear day, and his hair, golden like the sun. He had everything he ever wanted in life, a loving family, supportive friends and a passion for music. He always admired the way the melody and lyrics connect people, making them feel loved and understood.
One summer day, he went on a road trip with his best friends, and they planned to have the time of their lives, never knowing they were about to experience an unimaginable life-changing moment. On their way back home, their car collided with a drunk driver, and Alex's legs got crushed beyond repair. His friends had minor injuries and managed to survive but watching their best friend's agony, they felt helpless.
Alex was alive, but his life changed forever. He would never feel the grass on his feet, run towards his dreams or dance under the rain. He knew he had to learn to live with his condition, but the initial shock and disbelief overwhelmed him. Alex's darkness was starting to creep in, and everything around him seemed bleak and incomplete. It took him a while, but his fighting spirit slowly crept back on him and gave him hope.
Around the same time, a girl named Lily, trained hard for her upcoming running competition. She was fast, agile and had the stamina of a lion. Her only goal was to win the competition for her sister, who had passed away from a terminal illness. Lily's heart was pure and determined, and she believed that she could conquer the world with her running skills.
It was two weeks before the competition, and Lily wanted to train a little late that day. She couldn't believe her eyes when she saw a beautiful boy, sitting on a bench, staring into the sky. Intrigued by his beauty, she went closer to him to introduce herself and ask about his story. Alex, who was lost in his thoughts, was surprised to hear her voice. It had been a while since anyone spoke to him like a normal person. Alex and Lily's eyes met, and somehow, a connection blossomed between them. He told her about his accident, and she opened up about her sister's passing away.
Lily was moved by his story, and a feeling of sadness settled in. She couldn't fathom what it felt like to lose her legs, but she knew what it felt like to lose something so precious and close to the heart. Lily knew she could never fully understand the extent of Alex's loss, but she wanted to make him happy and give him some sense of normalcy. They started meeting more often, and Lily's smile brightened up Alex's day.
Though Alex felt happy with Lily, he couldn't help but wonder about his future. He always dreamed of being a musician, and now with his legs gone, he couldn't imagine how to achieve his aspirations. Lily's positivity and unwavering love for running encouraged Alex to pursue his passion. He started writing songs and composing music on his keyboard, while Lily trained for her running contest.
