Luke suffers from an anxiety illness and finds it difficult to interact with others. His adoptive mother was comatose at the time. He was compelled to take the CEO role in his mother's firm due to her situation, and he reasoned that it would be better for his training to overcome the trauma he was experiencing while he was waiting for the recovery of her mother. Yumi, on the other contrary, is an undercover bureau officer who acts as an aspiring writer to gain access to Luke's company. She was also Luke's ex-girlfriend, holding a grudge for Luke's family's oppression before they split up. She was tasked with investigating the anomalies in Luke's company as well as the death of his foster father, Dante Laurel. There is strong evidence, according to the group she belongs to, that Luke was the only man with a motive to kill Dante. Despite the fact that they had been lovers before they split up and she would also get her revenge, she is willing to reappear in front of the young man. Yumi tried to deny her feelings and strongly believed herself that she only gets back to do her job, but Luke discovers that he is also still in love with her. And they had no idea that some of the most important secrets were about to be divulged after they reconciled with each other. Yumi's past is something she's trying to hide from her ex-boyfriend, and it's not just her real profession and Dante's death.
"Debunked. The stories you've heard are all false. People were simply bored at the time, so they invented a fictional translation for a raw collection of lessons. Why come up with a story to teach people to be nice to one another? It appears that ancient people had small minds. They are much too trusting." The book that Luke was currently reading vanished in front of him as he tossed it on the ground; he used to clean his bookshelves by organizing his books, as he always did, because he does this when he is weary in the mansion.
Luke dressed to prepare for his entry into the company after wasting a few hours. He had been fixing his tie before, but he wasn't happy with how it looked, so he decided not to wear one.
"There's nothing wrong with me. I'm perfectly fine. There's nothing to worry about," he said, his gaze fixed on the dangling chandelier. The longer he stared at it, the more absolutely petrified he became. In an instant, he imagined the chandelier crashing and the crystals splashing in his face. As a result, his heart started beating on its own. He shifted his gaze in the reverse direction, hoping to knock him awake.
He ignored the light knock on the door because Mother Lingling never asked for his permission and went straight in.
"Breakfast is prepared, Luke; eat first before going to see Fiery Corp.," the mansion's long-serving maid said. When he left the country to study abroad, he'd already missed her. She is also his mentor from childhood to adolescence, and he is grateful that Mother Lingling was obstinate in taking care of him after a tragedy struck the Laurel family years ago.
"What more can you say about that new track, Mother?" Luke asked precipitously.
"What song? Did I already hear that? What song is it?"
"The jazzy one," Luke emphasized, "I made you listen to that on the stereo." He's talking about a song from one of his company's projects. He has also been in charge of endorsing projects before they are dispersed to the public since taking over his mother's company.
"It's fine for me," Mother Lingling admitted, "but it's a little generic."
"I'm going to have it recorded again-because I get annoyed every time I hear the female singer who represented that song-her other songs sounded good, but her voice is unsuitable for the song," Luke sighed, attempting to rise and compose himself.
"Those who spent time finishing that song will be disappointed, but it's still up to you," Mother Lingling shrugged as she exited Luke's room.
He took his phone out of his pocket. He immediately dialed Lawrence, the consultant of Fiery Corp.'s music production team. It is one of the largest entertainment companies in the country, with many divisions such as talent production, music, and television shows. It is also a creative agency. He is not the official executive, but he steps in to replace his adoptive mother, Nelia Laurel, who is currently ill.
"That person's voice is deplorable. You make changes and document everything as soon as possible. I'm not going to your office first."
Surely, Lawrence could no longer unwind because whatever Luke's final decision had led to a significant in all this.
Luke does not feel guilty if his rulings cause inconvenience; in fact, it appears that he finds satisfaction in seeing others suffer, particularly if they are more visible. It's referred to as schadenfreude. Mother Lingling was the only one who grasped his actions, and she never abandoned him.
He felt sorry for the lady for being patient with him, and he thanked her for being his guide since he had conflicts with his adoptive parents, particularly his late foster father. In exchange for Mother Lingling's perseverance, Luke would frequently grant her leave whenever she desired while still paying her wages and even increasing them.
Luke preferred being alone. Mother Lingling couldn't leave him because of the obvious illness he was suffering from. Fortunately, he is now on his way to recovery. As a result of his childhood traumas, he developed an excessive fear of everything, which is also classified as an anxiety disorder. He was sometimes self absorbed, and he dealt with it by interacting with people more regularly. As a result, dealing with the corporate as acting CEO is challenging for him.

"I saw a man with pale eyes shrouded in sadness in a dark environment. He appeared to be on the lookout for something. Many questions seemed to circle him. I can't approach him because he's too wild. I want to state unequivocally that I will do nothing wrong. How can I make him my friend?"
He's like a fairy tale firefly, looking for someone perfect in every way to break a spell, but deep down- he needs to look for himself first. Should I help him find his missing piece? Did he truly lose something, or did he simply lose it all when he needed it the most?
Every night he appears, and my only clue is the twinkle of fireflies. I was able to write poetry in the midst of my deep sadness.
Why don't you take a look around, Firefly?
I didn't blink because I was keen to know what you were..."
Yumi was typing on her laptop when her cell phone began to ring. She quickly responded to the call of her aunt, Mother Lingling, at four o'clock.
""How are you, Yumi? Is your manuscript finished?" Mother Lingling inquired.
Yumi smiled as she answered the question "It's done, and I'm ready to give it to Fiery Literature. It's fantastic news for me because they're looking for a music video plot."
"You're amazing. Luke will, hopefully, review your work. By the way, Luke is improving, though he still suffers from panic attacks and dread," Mother Lingling explained.
"I simply believe Luke should date at some point. He was always on his own. I suggest it, but he doesn't appear to be interested in starting a relationship just yet."
"Well, even if he's rude, I hope he gets better soon. And I'm not sure how he'll react when we meet again," Yumi replied with a wild smile. Even though her last meeting with Luke as an ex-lover did not go well, she cannot deny that she misses her first love and heartbreak. Yumi gripped her pen tightly after exhaling a sigh. As she recalled her relationship with Luke, she felt a surge of rage.
'Whatever takes place to you, Luke, is exactly what you deserve.'
