Gia's POV

I let out a sigh in relief when I know it's time to go home! Yes!! Home!! I stood up from my desk started to clean the student's tables. Oh yeah, Hi there! I'm Gia Cavelyn. I love kids and that's also one of the reasons I chose to be a kindergarten teacher. I love my job, my students. The students have already gone home for the day leaving me alone in the classroom. Usually, it's Jenny and I but she has to take care of her sick son so I gave her three days off.

Putting back all the coloring books and papers away. I went to the front door to lock it before I leave. I walked out from the building towards my BMW M5. It takes 20 minutes to drive to my sweet home. I live in a small town; my house is located near the forest. It's the gift from my parents. I sighed sadly, I miss them. They passed away three years ago from a plane crash. I don't have any siblings or relatives since my parents also didn't have siblings. That makes me want to have more than just one child, I don't want my children to feel lonely just like I did when my parents went for a business trip. I'm happy knowing my job is not so hard and I don't have to leave my future children here.

I hopped out from my car and make my way into my sweet home.

"Baby I'm home!!"

Not less than minute two Chow-Chow puppies running towards me. When they reached me, they barked happily while wiggling their tails.

"There you are my precious babies"

I cooed at them while stroking them softly. The darker fur is Sky and the light fur is Flower. I found them beside my kindergarten building, they were so cute. Instantly I fell in love and my motherly senses were awoken, I needed to protect them and that's what I did. They're so precious to be hurt. I can't stand the sight when they were starving and thirsty. They need a comfortable shelter. From that day forward I decided to adopt them both. I gave them some food and smile when I saw they eat it happily.

After taking a shower and wear Pikachu Onesie. I went to the kitchen to make some grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. I don't really have a mood to eat a proper meal. I ate the grilled cheese as I'm watching 13 reasons why on Netflix. This is my life, come home from work, take a shower, eat, watch Netflix and lastly sleep. It's boring, I know that but that's my life. I just wish I have someone that can keep me company and make it less lonely here. I know nothing's going to happen if I don't try to find 'the one'.

I did date once but I swore to myself to not date again until I knew when I really wanted to commit because the last time I dated it only last 1 week because, Oh god, that guy was freaking two faced. In front of me he will be like "I love you the most and blah blah" but at my back " nothing happens between us". Urgh! That dude I tell you, he's a big JERK. I don't know when my heart will open to date again. I don't want that to happen again, I don't have a best friend. That's sad, right? yeah, I guess. I stopped thinking about it and closed my eyes.

I woke up when I felt my throat dry, I need to drink some water. I sit up and make my way to the kitchen. Opening the fridge and grabbing a water bottle. I was about to take another gulp of water but stopped when Flower came towards me while barking at me like something is bothering her.

"What is it precious? You need something?"

But she kept barking like asking me to follow her. I don't know why but I started to feel scared and a little bit worried. I follow her until she stopped in front the front door but keep barking asking me to open the door. I gulped and took baseball bat using it as my weapon. Slowly opened the door, Flower ran out to the front yard.

"Hey Flower come back here!"

She keeps running until she reached a big figure lying on the ground. My heart beats at a fast pace. Flower came back towards me while whimpering. I looked at the big figure again carefully make my way towards it. I stopped in my track when I heard a grunting noise from the big figure. I hesitantly walked towards it, my eyes widened when I saw it was a guy. He was grunting again like he's in pain while clutching his stomach.

I don't know what took over me, I quickly check on him to see any injuries until I saw a claw mark on his stomach ignoring the thought that he is a stranger probably could be a rapist or more. I should call for an ambulance but the fact that the hospital is not near and only a clinic is available.

"Oh god, you're hurt. Hold on, this can be pretty hurt from moving but I need to take you to the clinic. Don't move I'll come back after I take my car keys first"

After took my car keys I ran towards him and help him up. He keeps groaning in pain, I felt really bad for him. I'm wondering where did he get the claw mark.

I quickly hopped out from my car and went to his side. Thank God the clinic is open We went inside the clinic, Martha is the only doctor in our small town help me to get on the clinic bed. I went out from the room when Martha told me she will do what she can do to help him. I sat on the clinic chair for 15 mins until Martha walks out from the room.

She smiles kindly at me.

"He's fine, He just got 20 stitches. I will give you the medicine that he needs and he also needs to rest. He seems like he just got attacked by an animal from the claw mark. I suggest you to not let him do a lot of moving because it will cause the wound to open".

I sighed in relief when I knew he is fine.

"Thank you, Martha".

"No problem, but can I know how did you meet him?" She asked with curiosity laced in her voice.

I explained to her how did we met just now and she just smile and nodded in understanding. She told me to take him on his second appointment next two weeks. I just nodded in reply. Martha is 46 years old doctor in our town. She treated me just like I'm her daughter since she only has a son, Jared. Jared is 26 years old, we barely met but whenever he sees me he will staring at me making me feel uncomfortable.

To me it's better I'm not meeting him. He is a doctor too but at the city while his mom work at here. I went inside the room only to me the guy laying on the clinic bed.

"Hi," I said shyly not caring if I'm a 23 years old woman in Pikachu Onesie with blood stains. I bet I looked like a crazy lady now.

"Ai," he replied with His deep voice that making my stomach fills with butterflies. Wait for what? Nooo, I just met him. ugh, damn you hormones.

"Thanks"

My eyebrows raised a little at his next word. I just smile and nodded slowly still shy at him.

"Y-you're welcome but we have to go. The clinic is closed now, Umm You can tell me w-where you live so I can drive you h-home"

I hesitantly asked him, I need to choose my words carefully not wanting to hurt him. At this moment I get to see him in better view. He has a long messy hair with a beard. He wore ripped and dirty clothes. He has a big figure, his height probably 6'8 too tall to be true. His foot full with scars, it's like he is not wearing shoes for a long time. His face fell at my question then move his eyes on the floor not wanting to look at me.

"No h-home. Forest, yes"

I stood there shocked at his answer. Now I felt really bad for him, he doesn't have a home but what about all this time? No wonder he doesn't have any shoes on and dirty ripped clothes. But something suddenly awakened in me.

I need to help him.
