" you girls wear these sexy revealing dresses making it harder for men, every minute you Arch your back or bend over " his mouth is dangerously close to my ear. I felt his hot breath and I was nearly a weak mess. Author: ariesstarz Publisher:EasyReading
When your fiancé gets a promotion, you should be happy for him right. You should be ecstatic that your fiancé is moving up in his career yet i am the complete opposite.
As much as I'm proud of Henry getting his big promotion I'm not overly excited about it. Because Henry has recently taken more time in perfecting his career rather than the girl he proposed to the other month.
Henry used to be adventurous and would bring so much light to our relationship but now, he seems to only be interested in his work and not me.
I try and surprise him by bringing either lunch or dinner and planning spontaneous trips but he just shoots me down every time I try.
I don't think this trip I organised was going to end positively. I planned for us to go to Ireland and do a lot of exciting activities since this is what we always used to do. This was very familiar to how we soent most of our first dates. I met him whilst on my gap year and we were both really into the adventurous travelling.
Hiking up high mountains, swimming in beautiful lakes and even backpacking around the country.
But when I see his retreating back on this mountain I started to really believe that I could no longer marry this man. He wasn't the man I fell in love with. I grew up with no parents and a distant family that I barely got to see. He was the one I had and I'm afraid I'm making the biggest mistake of my life.
"well fuck you then Henry, leave me on this fucking mountain then" I shout after him as he walks away looking for some damn connection with his phone.
We went from vlogging with each other to him dragging me to these stupid high profile events where snobby boring Socialites talk about their net worth.
I realised I was stranded up here for over an hour now, it was turning dark and gloomy and the rain was pounding down from the sky. I finally reached a cabin that looked like it had a lot of warm fire and electricity that would heal my already cold and shivering body.
I barely got close to knocking on the large cabin door when it swung open and a tall elderly man who looked to be in his 60's stood in front of me. He had a walking stick in his one hand and a phone in his other.
It's very weird seeing old people with phones but that's how the world is now.
"dear god, please come inside it's too cold for you to be outside in this thunder storm" he says pushing the door wide open leaving me to catch a glimpse of the cosy cabin.
What I would do to get in there.
I look up at the sky and laugh to myself. "it's just a little cold nothing major" he casts me a funny look before laughing openly with his head tilted back.
I loved the sound of his throaty laugh and sounded a lot like my dad's laugh from what I rememberrd anyway.
After much deliberation, I made my way inside the cabin, I was instantly hit with the feeling of warmth from the fire that was heating up the centre of the room.
A blanket was instantly wrapped around my shoulders I was impressed with his hospitality as I saw him making me a special drink that looked a lot like hot chocolate. He even had marshmallows, the whole shebang.
I took the mug quickly when I noticed him struggling to walk towards me with his bad leg.
"I've just had a hip replacement" he says noticing me eying his walking stick. I wasn't going to ask but he told me anyway.
"what are you even doing up in the mountains anyway?" he asks me. We were sitting on a sofa in his cabin and he was also drinking a hot chocolate. It's quite strange to see an old man drinking hot chocolate out of a mug that was decorated with kittens.
He laughed when I was giving him a suspicious look.
"I was here with my fiancé, I wanted to get a video of the scenery when it started to rain heavily and he left to find help I guess" I say lowering my voice. I'm not going to tell him he ditched me so he could call back his client.
My role is to protect him, protect his reputation even if it means lying to people's faces. I've done it multiple times to his mother so saying it to a stranger is nothing.
"I think I saw him, poor boy had his phone up in the air" he shows me the exact position and I know that it was Henry.
"yep that's him alright" I trace the shapes on the mug in my hands and tried to forget the fact that my fiancé didn't really care for my wellbeing.
"where are you travelling from" he asks me.
I look up at him "London" he seems surprised at first.
"The big city oh how I miss London" my eyes flick up. I'm surprised he lived in London before. I just imagined that he had lived here for a long time I mean his accent is very strong.
"Thinking about it I could probably make a call and get you out of here" he says as he begins to get up off the sofa, retrieving his mobile phone from the coffee table. I watch him move and place the phone against his ear.
"second door on the right" he mumbles to me when I ask for the toilet if I am going to get out of here.
When I finished my business, my phone vibrated from my breast pocket. I was thankful that I finally had service.
When I unlocked my phone, my twitter was going a bit crazy, there were tweets about my darling fiancé. I opened pictures of him at a local airport he had people following him. My mood dropped when I saw that he hadn't even bothered to come and find me.
Leaving me to fend for myself.
We waited for about 2 hours just talking and playing the interesting game when I heard the horrendous sound of a helicopter I could see the leaves outside spinning around against the cabin windows.
"I never got your name" I say turning back to him as we watch the said helicopter land on the wet soggy ground.
"William, you can call me Will if we ever meet again" he reaches out and brings me in for a hug. His arms enclose around my body.
I'd be more than happy to visit him if I ever come to Ireland again, perhaps without Henry.
"Kristina" I mumble wrapping my arms around his broad shoulders. It was a comforting hug I felt warmth cascade around my body almost like I was hugging family.
Was this how it felt to have your father wrap his arms around you?
When I stepped out of the cabin I met the brown eyes of a man that looked super out of place. I almost felt sorry for him. When his eyes met mine though my breath halted and we were shunned to a standstill.
Super cliché I know but when you see someone this perfect looking and sexy at that, you will stop breathing or feel that deep sensation in your chest.
He took a step towards me and that's when I was knocked out of my daze. This man may be beautiful visually but looks were deceiving.
"You're not going to say thank you "he says crossing his arms over his rather muscly chest. Not that I was looking or anything.
"Uh... thanks but you don't have to be so cocky about it" i said back. Why are rich men such assholes.
Did he want me to clap?
He chuckles behind me, keeping quiet whilst I grab the water from my bag and drinking all of its contents. Hopefully, it stays that way.
"At least let me take you back "he walks forward and stands before me.
"of course, you're taking me back you " I stare at him my arms stretched out by my sides. I give him the what the fuck look.
His face transforms into a grin "well c'mon then I'm sure you're dying to get home, and I've got a business to run" he says as he pushes me towards the helicopter.
I hated myself for liking the feeling of his large hands on my back.
"I'm dying to get away from you" I mutter brushing past him and walking up to the jet. He must be filthy rich if he can afford this type of helicopter.
He did say he had a business to run, Tina.
Right.
I tried my hardest to not seem like I was having fun but this is the first time I've flown in a helicopter in my life and I could tell he was showing off slightly.
Watching Ireland from above was beautiful, the green lands still looked phenomenal even with the thunderstorm and I couldn't help myself I had to take some shots for my website later.
After 40 minutes or so I instantly recognised the city streets lit up and I realised how beautiful the city was at night.
"how do you know William" I ask him suddenly I'm acting nice and its probably the best thing to do considering he came and got me from being stranded on a mountain.
His lips lift into a smirk that has me smiling with him. Hate to admit it but he looked sexy with his mouth like that but I wasn't going to tell him that.
"Will and I are very close especially with my family he used to work for my father as a driver but he retired 10 years ago" he informs me, I guess his dad is rich as well.
"is your dad famous or something" I ask being a little nosey I mean I'm not a stranger to business but I can't put my finger on who this man is.
"you could say that" he says not an inch of embarrassment he almost sounded proud to say it. He passes over his phone and I look at the screen.
I glanced at the screen and there was a picture of three people, on the picture a young girl was standing in between two people when I looked at the man I vaguely recognised him but it was the woman on the right who had her arm linking with his arm that caught my attention.
"she's your mother?" I ask him, my voice raised slightly catching him off guard.
"so, you now my mother but not me, I'm hurt really" he says placing his hand over his chest.
"I've been following her books and blog since I was little she's an inspiration to me" I say with pride, being lonely with barely any family leaves you to find love in something else and her books gave me the motivation to get through the hard times in my life.
"she is I agree with you on that one" he pulls back his phone from my lap and places it back in the little slot at the front of the helicopter. I move my legs to the side trying to ignore the heat passing through them.
"do you want to meet her?" he suddenly asks me making me stop thinking altogether for a few seconds. He better not be playing with me.
