The air was hot that night, blood was everywhere splattered like paint, the sight of dead bodies on each other, it was a massacre, a bloody massacre.
Noises of men were heard outside and each of them ran towards the room with blood everywhere their feets stomped heavily on the stairs as they run with shouts and they all clung to their weapons.
WHERE IS HE?!!!
Their voice though in anger but was lingered with fear, fear of being annihilated. Utahi wielding his katana with a double sharp edge, blood drops from his body as if he was sweating, the blood of the bodies he already massacred.
He's a man against many but won't back down, a deadly human who can kill without pity, he doesn't show regard for what he slays, his heart is cold and dark that he couldn't feel pain or grief, he has lost all his emotions for anything.
The men all at the door keep pounding on it intending to break it down, Utahi with the sense of this war didn't bulge, he wasn't bothered about the number of men behind the door, he has killed many and it seems like nothing to him anymore.
Not long the door went down everywhere was silent for a moment, the men saw the number of dead bodies on the floor and blood flowing from each body sent shivers to their spine, they were shocked to see that a man was able to bring such a kill.
"You monster!!!" The men cried.
There was a sense of fear among them, if a man was able to do such a massacre there's nothing that could stop him from doing the same again but seems like the anger of the men was unconditional they decided to do kill or get killed.
CHARGE!
Each person holding their weapon ran towards Utahi immediately everything went still as Utahi gripped his katana his eye went dark as night with no moon, a reddish dark tattoo ran from the right side of his neck down to his hands where he held his katana, all of this happened in microseconds, his killing intent was fast and dreadful as he cuts from the head of the men, blood keep flowing.
Nothing could stop him now, bodies keep falling as he makes his move towards them, he was fast as the speed of light as his katana goes through the body of each person, the rest of the men at door drew back as they view the massacre of their colleagues in seconds.
"What type of man is this?" They gasped in disbelief.
Utahi raised his katana and sliced the last two that still stood in his way, nobody was at his mercy, he doesn't keep them alive even when they manage to breathe when sliced, he will make sure he sent them to the afterlife.
" Who are you?" The first man who appears to be at the front of the door asked in fear, he was in a defensive position and ready for any attack but within him he knows that his opponent's attack can't be deflected so whatever he thinks he's doing is useless after seeing his colleagues fall at the blade of Utahi.
Who are you?!!, I ask again" The man said shaking in fear. Utahi was facing down, his katana glowing with blood as sweat and blood drops from his body, his stature was cold.
"I am Utahi," he said almost whispering it.
Before the men could say anything else, Utahi moved at his usual speed and sliced three men at the doorpost. The number of the men has reduced to five, the five scampered away in fear but they're not escaping because Utahi made sure of that.
"Move, move!" The men cried as they push themselves to get down the stairs, they knew the fight is already over and predicted cause they were doomed. Utahi followed suit but he was not running after them, he just watched them in mockery.
"Cowards," He said silently as he vanish in the dark stairway.
The men were still running through the spiral staircase each hoping that they'll escape from the demon in a human body, there were already stings of tears in their eyes because they are afraid to die.
The men managed to get down to the last floor but as soon as they ran for the door one of them tripped and fell.
"Lord Haru!, are you alright?" One of the men ran back to help him up.
"We better hurry" The rest beckons as they waited for their colleagues to get closer.
Immediately a presence was felt, a very fast body moved in the dim light, the men panicked.
" The door!, Get the door!!" One of them shouted.
The three men closer to the door rushed towards it, they were six inches from the door before the blade went through their bodies.
"Ugh" They gasped as blood pours from their mouth, some silence was observed when the three bodies fell, their blood was the only thing that could make it to the door as they dropped dead.
"Ahhhhhhh!" The younger man who's assisting the older one cried out bitterly.
"Hold yourself, young man, no tears are needed in a battle of men," Lord Haru said.
He looked at the dead bodies of his colleagues his eyes already bore a lot of tears but he held them back as they sting him, he wondered what type of being they were against but at this time he knew that nothing could be done now.
"Kimiyo, pull out your weapon and fight, for this is the last battle we would have, let's die honourably than die like cowards!" Lord Haru said as he pulled out his katana from its pouch and made a fighting position.
"Why don't you fight like a man Utahi! and stop hiding in the shadows," He said in a tremble.
A body appeared from the dark into the dim light, his curse oozing all over his body, the aura that he gave is beyond human knowledge.
"You coward!" Lord Haru ran towards him with his katana glowing in the dim light ready to strike Utahi he swung it with his strength making sure that the cut from the katana would be deadly but to his utmost shock he just swing right into the thin air.
"Huh!, Where did he go?!" He gasped looking frustrated, his palms are already wet and his body trembled greatly.
"Lord Haru!, Behind you!" The younger man exclaimed hoping to alert his master when he saw Utahi appear behind him in a flash but before Lord Haru could make a move a deadly strike came down on him cutting him into two from his abdomen, the only thing connecting his body was the intestine, blood poured out like a river.
"Lord! Haru!!!" The younger man could only scream as he watched the horrifying death of his master.
"Cowards" Utahi cursed under his breath.
The younger man couldn't do anything but run up the stairs falling and crying, he was in great despair but death was his only fate, he pushed open the nearest door he could see and ran inside, he was holding unto his weapon facing the door waiting for Utahi to make his way in but he got what he expected less as Utahi strike him from behind.
"Ahhhh" The young man winced in pain as he sprawled to the floor, he grabbed his weapon and staggered towards the door lying his back on it, he could see his blood as they flow from his back, his breath was heavy as his heart beats fast.
Utahi walked into the light with his long sharp double katana in his hands as he gripped them tightly, his killing intent was clear and can be seen, he's like a monster ready to devour at any time, the curse was hovering around his right hand.
The younger man knew he was no match for Utahi but at the point of his death he couldn't let Utahi leave unscathed.
"Ready to die?" Utahi asked softly.
The younger man smiled as blood drooled from his mouth, he can only use one skill taught by his master to tackle Utahi but he was not sure if he could make a hit.
"There's nothing worth trying," The younger man said under his breath as he stood up staggering holding his weapon and making a fight stance.
"I have one thing to say, are you ready to die, you monster!" The younger man ran towards Utahi welding his weapon and ready to strike.
"Hmph" Utahi smirked as he swing his katana making a legendary fighting stance with easy killing intent.
"Dragon technique devious strike!" The younger man said under his breath as he made his strike but Utahi deflected it.
"Fool" Utahi swung his katana with just one arm splitting the man from his shoulder down to his stomach diagonally. The man fell coughing out blood.
Immediately a blade hit Utahi from behind piercing his heart.
"Ugh!" Utahi spits out blood, he didn't see that blade coming.
"What kind of strike was that?" he thought.
The younger man laughed in midst of coughing out blood, he already look pale.
"That was the devious strike of the dragon technique, I thought you would see that coming but seems like fate has decided us to die here," the younger man said in laughter.
"You fool" Utahi went for a direct strike at his head splitting it open.

"There will be no falling in love, we will only act as a loving couple when we are in public, we will share a room to make it believable, but no intimacy, touching is off-limits. We'll only have sex once a month, and that's solely to produce an heir. You won't interfere in my business, and I won't interfere in yours. You will be my wife in every sense and you will not be involved with any other man," he said, arrogance seeping from every word.
