Hunger for Love

“ I never thought he would dump me this way.” uttered Sophia in a drank state. “I hate him , I want him to go to hell ,” she added. “That’s enough , he doesn’t deserve your love ,dear,” his friend Michaela said. Sophia now is crying out loud since his boyfriend dump her just like that without explaining why. Her friends Franchisca help her tuck in bed after their drinking session since they are at their apartment.

The next morning , “oh , I’m late for work , shit , I should not have drink too much last night. My head is aching now. I have to fix myself for work, “she mumbled to herself. Sophia is working in a call center for two years now in the metro. After college she asked her parents to let her experienced the city life living alone . The good thing about it her parents allowed her to work for the meantime and let her promised to resigned after three years so she can proceed to teaching since it is her degree back in college.

Cellular phone ringing , “ Where are you now Sophia ? “ asked Michaela. “ I’m on my way to work .” “ Yah , I should know that , I’m calling you because your Coach Ron who happens to be my boyfriend is bothering me , where the heck are you now ?” , nagged Michela to Sophia . “ Can you tell him , I’m downstairs now and about to enter the elevator. So there, today I am late for work , I know Ron is mad because it’s queuing , meaning we have huge volume of call. I am really sad about my love life. I am in pained , gosh … in my wildest dream I never thought that he cheated on me.

“ I need to talk to you Sophia , Ron mentioned while I’m fixing my things after shift. “ I have to say this to you although we’re friends You have to be reminded to be at work on time , this happens twice already , please don’t wait for me to give you care form for the third time of you being late. And your stats this week are not doing good , be mindful of your performance. I know you are hurt but I hope you won’t mix love to work .” Everything he said is true. So what I did is nod and told myself to try to be okay , even if I am not really okay.

While walking out from the office I passed by Starbucks I opted to stopped by to buy a cup of coffee and sit there sometime. I sit in the corner part of the coffee shop and I am still hoping that Francis would call me and explained why he chose that bitch 35 years old woman over me when I am 23 , fresh , young , and sexy .
