The Witch Hunter

The Witch Hunter

Full moon ... and pure breeze. Only the sound of the owl can be heard in the atmosphere, and the chirping of the leaves coming from the trees here in the forest that is steady in the wind. But suddenly the hours of silence were broken by the successive footsteps of the horses carrying the soldiers who seemed to be chasing someone. In front of them was a young witch who was gasping for breath on the run. That's me. My name is Charm, a full-blooded witch- which mortals call those like me born with power. But the correct name for such names is deities. I was suddenly alarmed when I heard the chirping of a soldier who used his bow so I prepared myself. Even before I was hit, I surrounded myself with a magic barrier. I admit that he is not a very strong kind of barrier because he is not that skilled in magic, but it is enough to fend off all the arrows they will shoot for me. But even so, they kept chasing me. it's irritating the shit out of me! The barrier I created is still consuming energy, so maybe at any time it will disappear forever. I wanted to fight them, but my grandmother - who had nurtured and cared for me since childhood - strictly forbade me to hurt those who had no power. Case ... I feel like the barrier I created is slowly disappearing. So even before that happens, I have to decide whether I will fight these soldiers, or not. "Don't stop until you catch it!" I heard shouts of what I think was their leader. I know there is a big layer on witches like me, so I understand how they want to catch me. A few more minutes passed ... I suddenly thought I had stopped running, and I faced them with courage. If I remember correctly, I was near the temple of Deity Morrel - one of the formerly worshiped Goddesses of Wisdom. Grandma told me when she ran away from the soldiers who were looking for me, she said I would go to that temple so that I could temporarily hide from mortals. It is believed that there is a guardian animal living in that temple so I will be safe there. "What, have you decided to just give up, witch?!" the leader exclaimed. I just smiled. "Surrender? That will never happen." I said calmly. I raised the blue silver wand I was holding and mentioned a level 1 fire spell I knew. "Flame shower!" Exactly when I mentioned such a spell, it seemed that blazing flames fell from above and surrounded the saken - which separated the saken and these soldiers. I can see that they are backing away from what I did, and the horses they are carrying are making noise which is the reason why they are busy staying with their horses for a while .. It's time for me to escape! I raised the wand I was holding and then I was enveloped in intense light. Deity Morrel's temple is also close from here so I'll just teleport there. Earlier I would have made a case when I was teleporting too far away, it would be easier for me to run out of energy that I could even die, so earlier I was saving a lot of it. I started to build my escape. The light that enveloped saken intensified even more and I could feel the force pulling saken upwards ... a signal that my teleportation was about to be completed. But ... Even before I finally disappeared in front of them, I felt a sharp object pierce my side. Then I only saw what it was when I faded in front of them and I reached my destination in the blink of an eye. As soon as I reached the temple grounds I immediately collapsed while holding on to my side hit by an arrow I knew was mixed with poison. With the rapid effect of the poison, my whole muscles trembled and my vision darkened. A few more seconds passed while I was still trying to fight the nausea I was feeling ... Darkness has covered my entire environment ....

"Where is my luna?" Zoren asked his staff. "Alpha, we can't find her in the nearby province. Maybe she's in the city so it's hard for us to track her down," one of his staff replied politely. He angrily attacked it and then grabbed it by the neck. He threw it and hit the wall. It was like an animal shaking and wagging he's tail in pain. He soon lost his life and lay on the floor. He angrily turned to his companions. They retreat in fear. "You have to find my MATE! BRING ME MY MATE!" His shouted echoed not only throughout their pack but throughout the forest.

Even the naughty Hercules was sitting in front of me. I don't know if I'm mimicking or what but it looks like he's been watching me for a while and it's disgusting. I can't look at him even if he's in front of me because I don't want to see him. "Hercules, you want to come with us? We are going to the bar." Radius was with him while whistling. His Mama, quickly picked him up. "Radius can you please respect your food? Don't whistle whistle there and arrange a seat." it was like a child because of the speed with which it followed his mother. I want to smile because even though they are rebellious, they still know how to listen "Aliyah sister, what grade are you in at the entrance again?" I looked at Aunt Emily when she asked me. She was the one who adopted Cassey. "Third year College." "Third year College? How old are you?" "20 years old." her eyes widened as if she didn't expect my age "Then my Cassey is one years older than you?" I nodded at her. "I wish I could give you a scholar ship to my husband's family school here in the province, for Cassey to have with her." I want to be happy with what Aunt Emily said just in case I can't stay here. "I want to but I can't, I'm sorry Aunt." She smiled and stroked my hair. I feel like Aunt Emily is my second mother, it's just a feeling. The dinner ended happily and now I am in the bathroom of the guest room and taking a bath. This day is tiring. I hope something good happens to me tomorrow at this hacienda.

His Healing, Her Vengeful Lie

The numb cold started in my fingertips, creeping inward. I watched Chloe, my wife, her face a mask of impatient fury in the dim tent light. Outside, a blizzard howled, the soundtrack to my dying. My miraculous blood, the blood that could heal, drained from my arm, a crimson offering for a dead man. "More," Chloe demanded, her voice sharp. "It' s not enough. You have to bring him back." Her childhood sweetheart, Jake Miller, lay frozen nearby, a corpse. "Chloe, it doesn' t work like this," I rasped, my vision blurring. "I can heal injuries. I can' t raise the dead." "Liar!" she shrieked, her grief a twisted venom. "You can heal anything! You won' t save him because you' re jealous! It' s your fault he went up that mountain! If you hadn' t forced me to marry you, he' d still be alive!" The accusation was a sick joke. I had healed her to repay a debt, a lie used to trap me. I wasn' t a god, just a medical prodigy. As my lifeblood pooled, the world faded to black, her hateful face my last sight. Then, bright, sterile light. I gasped, eyes flying open in a pristine hospital room. My hands were whole, warm. Mrs. Davis, Chloe' s mother, stood by the window, worried but hopeful. This was the day it all began, the day they begged me to heal their daughter. I remembered my profound sense of duty, repaying a girl I believed saved me. That single selfless act led to a year of loveless marriage, resentment, and my own murder. "Dr. Hayes," Mrs. Davis said, trembling. "We' ve heard about your… gift. They say you can perform miracles." She stepped forward, hands clasped. "My daughter, Chloe… she' ll never walk again. But we believe… you can save her. Please, we' ll give you anything." But my gaze was cold. I saw the contempt, the venom of my past in her desperate eyes. I had been a fool. A naive, sacrificial lamb. Not again.

The Woman Who Reclaimed Life

The Woman Who Reclaimed Life

The antiseptic smell was the last thing I remembered. In my "other" life, the one that ended in blood and despair, I died from late-stage cancer in an unpaid hospital bed. My parents, Sarah and Robert, cried. They held my hand, promising to take care of everything, just as they had for years while I diligently sent them money for my health insurance. But they lied. The money was gone, squandered on a secret life. My father finally broke, confessing they' d adopted a son, Liam, channeling all my money to him, building a new family on the foundation of my slow death. The betrayal shattered something inside me. The weight of the kitchen knife, my mother' s scream, then nothing. Until I blinked. Sunlight streamed through my bedroom window. My husband, David, slept beside me. My body felt healthy, a full year before Dr. Evans' death sentence. A terrifying, undeserved second chance. I remembered the insurance renewal notice I' d ignored yesterday because I trusted them. This time, I wouldn't. When I called my mother, her usual syrupy sweetness faltered. "Oh… perfectly fine if you handle that yourself," she said, before asking for another twenty thousand dollars for renovations. I gave it to them, a ticket to the truth. Then came the photo: a blurry, half-demolished kitchen, and in the corner, a bright blue, brand-new plastic dinosaur. Liam already existed. The confusion lifted, replaced by a cold, sharp purpose. The hunt had begun.

I woke up floating. Not in a dream, but tethered to a nightmare. My body lay cold on the bed, while my son, Leo, whispered, "Papa won't wake up." My wife, Eleanor, stood by the door, her face a mask of ice. I was a ghost, able to watch, but powerless to intervene. Then Julian Croft appeared, oozing charm and false sympathy. She chose Julian, leaving Leo behind, a small, trembling figure in our empty home. What followed was agony. I watched my seven-year-old journey miles to her office, only to be publicly humiliated, framed by Julian, and then viciously beaten. Eleanor, blind to the truth, abandoned him again, leaving him bruised and alone in a dark alley. My spirit seethed, consumed by a cold, useless rage. How could she believe such lies? How could she discard her own child so easily? The injustice was unbearable. I was murdered, my son brutalized, and the woman I loved stood by my killer. I longed to warn her, to protect Leo, but I was just air. A silent scream. Then Julian delivered the final blow: my little boy was tossed into the freezing Hudson River. But as Leo's small form sank into the darkness, a desperate hope ignited. A stranger, an angel, pulled him from the depths. My death was real, my son's suffering unbearable.
