That Night I Met You

"MA'AM, eto na po 'yung mga papeles na kailangan niyong permahan ngayon." Biglang bungad sa'kin ni Kendra, my secretary.

Tumango ako. "Sigeh, just put that in there." I said pointing to my table. "And I also want to talk to Ms. Garcia, tell her to go here after lunch."

"Yes ma'am, sasabihin ko po sa kanya mamaya. Tsaka tumawag po kanina ang papa niyo siguraduhin niyo daw pong makakauwi kayo sa Christmas next week."

Buntong hiningang tumango ako. I guess I'm going to book my flight earlier than expected pahirapan pa namng makakuha ng ticket kapag holidays.

With a heavy sigh, I started working my ass off.

Ang sabi pa niya sa'kin, Para daw niyang naging inspirasyon si Grandma, she's like a lucky charm actually made just for him and you know what's funny, he's telling that to me with full of love and admiration can be seen in his eyes.

That's my dream actually, to find someone who can look at me like how my grandfather and dad look to Lola and Mom.

"Ay!" Naputol ang pagmumuni-muni ko ng maramdamang may na sagi ako. It's a magazine featuring all of the hot bachelors of business world.

I'm enjoying my drink when I suddenly had the urge to pee.

"Hey stupid." I pulled her hair.

"I'll just go to the restroom. Iihi lang ako." I saw her nod her head kaya pa gewang-gewang akong naglakad papuntang restroom.

Bakit ba anlayo ng CR nila.

Malayo ba talaga o talagang lasing na ko. That suddenly pop in my mind.

Oh my goodness, lasing na nga talaga ako. Kung ano-ano na ang naiisip ko.

I sighed in contentment nang matapos umihi. Lumabas na ako du'n ng hindi naghuhugas ng kamay 'saka nakapikit ang matang naglakad.

"I'll just go to the restroom. Yeah yeah I'll be back---Damn! " I bumped into something.

Oh well I think it's not a thing tho.

Damn you Summer how can you still think of it?! Kalimutan mo na 'yun!!

"Ah y-yes?"

"Kanina ko pa po kasi kayo tinatawag ma'am eh. Yung papers po kasi." Tiningnan niya ang mga nagkalat na papeles sa mesa ko.

"Oh! Right. Haha." I looked away, embarrassed. "Silly me. I'll just call you when I finished it." She gave me a small smile then walk out of my office.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag 'saka pinagpatuloy ang naudlot 'kong trabaho.
