I turn around and meet her glaring eyes.
Why is she ... telling me that? And what's with all this staring? I have never messed with her. She's the one that went into Lewis's house and kissed him on the lips. The lips I should be kissing. If anyone has the right to be mad, I'm the person. So with the rage burning in my heart, I stare back at her.
She's at first shocked at my angry look. Then she leans forward and whispers to my ears, "Why don't you leave him alone? He would be thrilled if you let him go."
He would be ... thrilled if I ... leave him alone?
What ... does she mean exactly?
