Roberta was staring at Madeline awkwardly, seemingly in thought.
"I know that you want to be alone with Mr. Glyn, but I have something urgent to discuss with him. May I speak with him alone?"
Madeline was uncertain of what to say for a moment. She shouldn't meddle in Julius's affairs, so she turned to him and said, "Miss Padilla wants to talk to you about work, so I'll take Benson with me somewhere else."
It just so happened that she didn't want to stay at this birthday party any longer.
"Okay. Don't go too far. I'll contact you once I'm done talking to Roberta."
Madeline nodded and then went to Benson's side as the latter played with a thread.
"Benson, that game was popular many years ago. Kids don't play that these days anymore. Why are you so interested in it?"
