Mrs. Brook was unexpectedly taken advantage of by Mr. Brook.
She racked her brain for words: "Newlyweds have to sleep together every day, but you keep a pretty little wife at home, are you willing?
What if someday the little wife accidentally, under Mr. Brook's preaching, has a love affair?"
"So I'm just going to preach to you what happens if you do that?" Franklin Brook spoke in a solemn tone, not the slightest hint of joking.
"Mr. Brook, has anyone ever told you that you're too much of a non-joker. You are so deadpan that you don't even have a sense of humor ah." Christine snorted. In her eyes, Franklin was a 'can't laugh' starfish.
"Christine, has anyone ever said that as a wife with a husband, you're openly committing wild crimes, and your humor cells are playing a little too much."
Franklin slouched his body against the wall, the gold-framed eyes between the bridge of his nose hanging halfway down, revealing the man's perfect, flawless eyebrows.
"Wrong! It's as Franklin's woman that I can spread my sense of humor too far!" Christine was proud of her words.
The one person in City H who dared to say that Franklin was wrong was none other than Christine!
