Eventually, Gloria walked straight to the second floor to find her father and ask him for clarification, but as soon as she reached upstairs, she saw that both she and her mother's rooms were open, and all the valuable things inside were taken away, leaving only empty boxes and half-opened and half-closed cabinet doors there blown by the hot wind, making a creaking sound as if mocking something.
Her pupils tightened. She slammed the cabinet door, and went to the second floor by rail, and lashed out at the floor below, "Butler, get here!"
When the butler heard the voice and came up, he saw Gloria's exquisite makeup covered in hideous thunderbolts of anger.
He stepped forward without being humble and asked, "Miss Stock, what is your order?"
"Where's the stuff in the cupboard, and where is my jewelry? Who permitted you to touch my things! You guys are living beyond your means, aren't you!" Gloria's anger rushed to her head and her sanity completely collapsed.
Originally in an extremely bad mood because of the scandalous incident, how could she not be angry when she came back and saw that all the things she had taken from Christine had been 'looted'?
