In a universe split by fate and distance, separate worlds tells the story of two individuals living in vastly different realms-one a futuristic utopia floating in the skies, the other a crumbling world ravaged by war and poverty. Aeryn, a tech-savvy engineer from the sky-city of Solara, believes her world is perfect-until she discovers a hidden transmission from the ground below. Kael, a rebellious survivor from the scorched lands of Drosen, sends out a desperate signal, hoping someone is listening. When their worlds unexpectedly connect, Aeryn and Kael must overcome distrust, uncover long-buried truths, and challenge everything they've ever known. Together, they fight to bridge the divide-not just between two civilizations, but between truth and lies, hope and despair, love and fear. Their bond could unite the worlds... or bring about their final destruction.

Chapter 1 The signal

The rain had become a constant rhythm in Solara-the kind of sound you stopped noticing once it was part of your life. High above the clouds, where cities floated on magnetic veins and towers stretched like glass trees, people believed they had left the world's chaos behind.

Aeryn didn't believe in chaos. She believed in data, logic, and systems that made sense. Her days were filled with diagnostics, holographic readouts, and silencing alarms before they even went off. But this alarm was different.

A blinking red node on her interface. Unauthorized frequency. Distorted. Ancient tech.

She sat back in her chair, heart skipping. "What are you?" she whispered to herself.

The message was buried beneath static, but she could make out fragments:

-help-...

-anyone left up there-

-Drosen-

Drosen. A myth. A scorched land said to be uninhabitable. According to Solaran records, nothing could survive there-not since the Collapse.

Her finger hovered above the "Report" button, but she didn't press it. Instead, she amplified the signal and cleaned the data. A voice emerged, raw and desperate:

"If anyone hears this... my name is Kael. We're alive. And we need help."

Aeryn stared at the message, the rain outside streaking down the glass like ghostly fingers. If she responded, she'd be breaking protocol. If she didn't... someone might die. Or worse-go unheard.

Her breath caught as she replayed the message.

Two worlds, long separated. One voice bridging the gap.

And for the first time in her ordered, silent world-Aeryn felt the tremble of something real.
