Chapter 1 One

"Oh shit!!!" Mimi jumped from her bed and ran to the mirror to check her hair.

She began to brush it while admiring herself for a little bit in the mirror. She dashed to the bathroom and began to brush her teeth. She could hear Sung Jinwoo talking with her mother downstairs. That jerk might say something bad about her to her mom and leave without her knowing. So, she had to hurry and go downstairs to know what the hell they were talking about. She was ready in twenty minutes.

She sat at the table and gave Jinwoo a wicked smile.

"Good morning to you too, hamster," Jinwoo grinned as he drank the milk offered by Mimi's mum.

"Don't you dare call me that," Mimi hissed and took a knife to spread butter on her bread. "I don't like the stupid name!!"

"But I like it, and besides, it fits you more than anything," Jinwoo laughed and smiled at Mimi's mum. "You're short, fat, and cute, so you're literally a hamster."

"I'm not fat, dummy!"

"Fine, you're chubby"

"Mum!!!" Mimi banged her fists on the table and stood up in anger. "I'm done. You can feed the jerk!"

"Oh! We'll be going, Mrs. Cha." Jinwoo rose and drank the remaining milk in his cup.

"Okay kids. Be good and don't cause any trouble," Mrs. Cha yelled from her room.

"Yes, mom!" Jinwoo replied and walked faster to catch up with the angry hamster.

Jinwoo didn't say anything but watched as she fumed silently and marched ahead. He was ignorant about the cause of her anger that morning and was going to ask for the reason later because there's no way in hell she'd tell him now. So, they walked to school silently till they entered their classes.

"Hey Mimi!!" Min-ho raised his hand in the air. Mimi just stood there because she didn't know what he really wanted from her that morning. She was still having her bath when she saw her period that morning.

She was mad. Very mad because she wasn't planning on seeing it that week. It's too early, and she has planned many things with her friends this week, but her period came to ruin it all. She won't have the kind of fun she was looking forward to having. She won't be that free because of her period. Ugh!!!

"Hey! Would you mind sitting with me for the second period this morning?" Min-ho asked her with puppy eyes. "It's English, but the teacher would take our class and the senior class together. She said it's in our syllabus for the same week, so..."

"Oh...okay," Mimi smiled at him. "It's just for the second period, right?"

"Yup," Min-ho replied. "You can go back when we're done."

"Cool." Mimi answered and went to her seat. She hadn't finished settling down when the girls and seniors came to her.

Oh! She couldn't breathe!!! They were here for Sung Jinwoo. They were here for that jerk. Why? They want to go out with him. That ugly-looking freak that has captured the heart of all the girls in school. Mimi thinks they're all blind. Why would they fall for Jinwoo when there are other boys in the school?

"Six hundred won for a date?" Park So Hee thrust cash at Mimi. Mimi had to stare at her because So Hee was so pretty.

'She too?' Mimi thought and heaved a sigh.

"Three hundred won for his number," Another said and slammed the money on Mimi's desk.

"Three hundred won for his social media account links and all," Three girls chorused and flagged their money in their hands.

"He's not on social media." Mimi replied quickly.

"What?" The girls chorused in shock and frustration.

"He's not on social media? The fuck???" They looked at Mimi as if she was telling a lie and wanted to keep his account to herself.

"I'm telling you the truth, but you can go and ask him if you think I'm lying or-" Mimi was interrupted by Park So Hee.

"That's fine. She's telling the truth. Jinwoo told me before that he's not on social media," So Hee declared and added, "That was a long time ago, so I'll ask him again."

"Thank you, senior So Hee." The shameless girls chorused and continued to bombard Mimi with questions and throw money in her face.

The bell rang, and everybody hurried to their classes and seats before the teacher came to scold them for disorganizing the class. Mimi was glad that everyone was gone. She took in a deep breath and ruffled her hair. The screen of her phone lit up, and she took the phone to check the notification.

'Period tracker - Your period starts today for the month of March. Stay strong, Mimi, and remain clean!' She hissed and took out her notebook and textbook for the present class. The class was so boring that her not falling asleep was a miracle. The class was over in forty minutes. The bell rang again, and Min-ho looked at Mimi.

"I know," Mimi chuckled and walked to him.

Mimi figured out that Min-ho has a thing for her, but he hasn't confessed to her yet. Well, actions speak louder than words, so she knows that he has feelings for her. Min-ho is one of the most handsome guys in school and maybe the most handsome in her class, but nobody fights for him the way they fight for Sung Jinwoo. But that doesn't mean there aren't jealous bitches that come to attack Mimi because of Min-ho.

They're many, and there have been a lot of threats. Mimi had stopped hanging out with Min-ho once because of the threat she received from a lot of girls concerning him, but Min-ho came to know about the threats and warned the girls with anger to stop what they were doing to Mimi.

That caused the reconciliation of the two classmates back then. Now, it seems like all the attention of the girls, both seniors and juniors, is on Sung Jinwoo. They would buy Jinwoo a lot of things and drop them on his desk while he's away.

Some girls with confidence would give them to him in person and declare their love for him. Funny enough, the jerk would reject their love and take what they bought for him. They would buy him clothes, shoes, bags, pay for tickets, and many other expensive things to buy him over and show that they really have money.

'Where are they seeing all this money from?' Mimi would wonder aloud because they keep on getting expensive stuff for the jerk.

Sometimes, Jinwoo would give her some of the stuff the girls bought for him, but Mimi would reject them because she doesn't want them to end up at her doorstep one day and beat her to death. The juniors began to troop into the senior's class for English Language. That was the second subject they were having that day for the second period. Mimi's eyes started to search for Jinwoo, and she saw him so quickly.

Why? That's because all the girls decided to gather around him and took all the seats available around his area. So, it wasn't really hard to find him in the midst of the small crowd. He was busy as usual. Busy flirting with a junior. It seems the junior was enjoying whatever he was doing with her.

One second, their hands were interlocked, and the next second, he was whispering something in her ear while the girl was giggling. Now, it looked like the two would go ahead and share a kiss in public. Mimi turned her face away when she had a hint that Jinwoo would look in her direction very soon.

"Let's sit over there," Min-ho dragged Mimi to two empty seats and pulled out the chair for her. "There's no crowd over there."

"Thank you." Mimi appreciated it and looked around to see someone.

She had a crush on one of Jinwoo's classmates since middle school. But she's trying to move on. His name is Dong Tae-yeon.

He wouldn't have found out about her obsession for him because she hid it so well. She was perfect at hiding it until her girlfriend, Min Young, went ahead to tell him about her feelings for him. Of course, she was rejected.

According to him, he sees her as his junior and younger sister. He also added that he doesn't have any feelings for her. She wasn't his type at all, and he doesn't fancy her a little bit. Nobody knew what happened except Mimi, Min Young, and Dong Tae-yeon. Sung Jinwoo doesn't even know about it, even though he's close to Mimi.

"I bought you this chocolate and orange juice. You like orange juice, yes?" Min-ho took out the contents from the black nylon in his hand and gave it to Mimi.

"You should eat it now. I don't think we're going on break today."

"Why?" Mimi asked with interest.

"We're meeting with the other school today. Have you forgotten that the guys are playing with the stallions today?" Min-ho asked.

"Oh! The stallion. I hope they win," Mimi had bitten into her chocolate before she remembered that she wasn't meant to eat sweet things at the moment.

"Oh shit!"

"What is it?" Min-ho looked at her sharply. "Does your stomach hurt? Are you okay?"

"I'm not supposed to eat anything sweet right now. I'm so sorry." Mimi wiped her lips quickly and began to sip the orange juice slowly.

Min-ho just watched her and began to chuckle lightly. Mimi thought he was making fun of her and stopped drinking the juice.

"You're so cute," Min-ho laughed. "You're not supposed to take anything sweet, but you're drinking the orange juice like it's water. And you're doing it so slowly. What are you? A rabbit?"
