Source: My college roommate wanted to drug a rich second-generation heir, getting pregnant first and then marrying into a wealthy family. Seeing her go down the wrong path, I tried my best to stop her and informed her parents and counselor. Realizing her mistakes, she worked hard to get into graduate school and found a boyfriend who loved her. The night before her wedding, she warmly invited me to be her bridesmaid, but then pushed me off a hundred-meter building, her expression filled with resentment, saying, "If it weren't for you, I would have already become a wealthy lady!" But only I knew how terrifying the identity of that rich heir was. If I could live my life again, I would watch her walk towards her death with my own eyes.

Chapter 1

"If it weren't for you, I would have married into a rich family long ago. How would I marry such an ordinary man? Hannah Woods, go to hell!" Sabrina Todd's face twisted with malice as she mercilessly pushed me from a building hundreds of meters high.

I thought I had saved Sabrina, but she had been harboring resentment against me all along.

The sensation of falling from a great height was terrifying and still lingered in me when I suddenly opened my eyes.

Sabrina was holding a small pink cake and looking at me expectantly. She looked in her teenage years. "Hannah, I'm giving this to my crush. What do you think?"

As she became so close to me, her face suddenly seemed large before me. I shivered and broke out in a cold sweat.

I had somehow returned to my days at college.

Seeing me silent, Sabrina rolled her eyes and complained about me being a dimwit. Then she turned to ask the other two roommates.

Her crush was Simon Barnes, who was from a rich family. In my previous life, she was so eager to marry him, even at the cost of an unwed pregnancy.

But only I knew that all the members of Simon's family were outlaws, living on the edge. Ordinary people would definitely not be close to the Barnes family.

I had stopped Sabrina and helped her take a normal path in my previous life.

She pretended to reform and became my best friend.

But in fact, she was never content with an ordinary life and always believed that I prevented her from marrying into a rich family. She resented me so much that she invited me to be her bridesmaid and cruelly murdered me before her wedding.

My kindness to her led to my death. So I would not repeat my mistakes this time and be kind to her, as she was an evil woman.

Sabrina asked all her roommates but was ignored by everyone. She then angrily sat on the bench and cursed us. "You are a bunch of paupers! When I get rich, I won't give you a single penny."

Actually, none of her roommates were to blame. When Sabrina first arrived at the dorm in her freshman year, she dressed revealingly and stayed out all night. She flaunted cheap jewelry and boasted about her popularity. She even looked down on Ruth Howe, our roommate from the countryside. So no one was willing to talk to her.

But I couldn't let her give up this time, so I stepped forward and praised her. "Sabrina, this cake is so cute. If you give it to Simon, he'll definitely be touched."

Sabrina snorted, "At least you have some taste. But I'm too shy to give him the cake alone. So come with me."

What an attention seeker.

I suppressed my disgust and agreed to go with her.

After all, I couldn't alert her to my plans just yet.

As we reached Simon's dormitory building, Sabrina hesitated. "Isn't it inappropriate to enter the men's dorm?"

I said, "How can it be? You're so pretty. They'll be thrilled to see you."

Sabrina was always vain about herself, so she agreed with me. She tugged at her fiery red dress and went inside.

Before she entered, she said, "Hannah, stay outside and wait for me. It wouldn't be good if Simon saw you and thought you were giving him the cake."

I usually didn't pay much attention to my appearance, but I had fair skin and delicate features and always attracted quite a few admirers on campus. Sabrina was afraid that Simon might fancy me.

After a while, Sabrina walked out with her face flushed. "Hannah, Simon is truly a rich man! Look, he gave me this! I knew he liked me too!"

In the sunlight, a golden necklace gleamed around Sabrina's neck.

Her collar was disheveled, revealing too much skin. It was clear that Sabrina and Simon had done something.

Since Simon could do such a thing in his dorm, he couldn't take her seriously.

I decided not to tell Sabrina about that.

Sabrina was born in a small town, and her parents were diligent workers. With her good academic performance, she could have secured a decent job if she worked hard.

But she chose a crooked path. She had frequently stayed in hotel rooms with various men since her freshman year and squandered the money they gave her.

However, the money from ordinary guys was no longer enough for her.

After she met Simon, her eyes sparkled with renewed ambition.

Only I knew that Simon's family was shrouded in mystery and involved in dangerous activities, so ordinary people had better not be close to them.

Yet, Sabrina wouldn't listen to me in my previous life and thought that I was jealous of her because she could attract Simon.

This time, I kept silent, and her relationship with Simon progressed even faster.

She didn't return to the dorm that night.

When the other two roommates curiously asked me where she was, I feigned ignorance and suggested that she might be off to date a guy.

But how could Simon be interested in a simple college romance?

As I had expected, Sabrina returned on the third evening. She limped as she packed her things, and her face was faintly marked with bruises.

Yet, her clothes, jewelry, and purses had all been replaced with designer brands. She even left a bracelet on each of our tables, seemingly made of jade.

"This is from my boyfriend. In case you don't recognize quality goods, I have to tell you that each one is worth more than one hundred thousand dollars. But you cannot get it for free. From now on, help me answer roll calls in class." She casually instructed us.

She didn't seem to have completely forgotten her duties to attend classes, as she remembered that she could not get her degree if she didn't sign in for classes.

Elena Ingram had a fiery temper and clashed most with Sabrina. She tossed the bracelet back and nearly broke it. "Take it away! I wouldn't accept such a dirty gift. I'm afraid of catching something!"

"You! You're doomed to be in poverty for your whole life!" Sabrina angrily slammed the table.

She turned her pleading gaze to Ruth.

Ruth had always been bullied by Sabrina. But Ruth found courage today and returned the bracelet to Sabrina. "Sorry. Sabrina, I have other things to do..."

Now it was just me left. Sabrina clung to my arm and waved it. "Please, Hannah, help me with the roll calls... I swear, after I become a wealthy lady, you'll benefit too."

Sabrina vowed as she opened her eyes wide. But I saw the greed beneath them.

No one would have imagined that such a seemingly innocent girl could be so ruthless that she pushed her friend off a high building. She was a wolf in sheep's clothing.

But in the end, I agreed to help her. Otherwise, how could I watch her continue to weave her web of destruction?

"Thank you, Hannah!" she exclaimed, excitedly shoving the bracelet into my hand.

From then on, she never returned to the dorm.

Late at night, after everyone else was asleep, I tossed the bracelet onto her bed and disinfected my hands.

Who knew where it came from? It must bring me bad luck!

Having experienced death once, I didn't mind viewing Sabrina with the utmost suspicion.

During Sabrina's absence, I spent my time in the library.

In my previous life, I had worked hard but was far from qualified to apply for a master's degree abroad. So I needed to work even harder to make up for past regrets and completely distance myself from Sabrina.

One day, as I stayed until closing time in the library, I tiredly returned to the dorm, where I heard some people arguing in my dorm before I got inside.

As I opened the door, I saw Sabrina. She looked furious. "Hannah, why didn't you help me with the roll call? You know what? Because of you, I was reprimanded by the counselor, who said if I didn't attend the class again, I would be expelled. It's all your fault. You seem nice, but you're actually the most two-faced in the dorm!"
