In the Ewell house, sibling chaos broke out, with Nelson yelling so loud you'd think he was trying to win a screaming contest. The neighbors were so done with the noise that they started throwing things, begging for some peace and quiet.
Hilda, stuck in her room, rolled her eyes like the ultimate drama queen. "Do they have to turn every morning into a total circus?" she grumbled.
Her mom shouted the classic wake-up call: "Time to get up, champ!"
"Okay, okay," Hilda shot back, dragging herself to the bathroom and thinking about how she'd survive another day.
Later, she checked herself out in the mirror, doing the classic teen confidence boost. "Gotta look cool enough that nobody notices how nervous I am," she told herself, hoping her new classmates would be too impressed to see her shaking.
Another day in the crazy world of being a teenager kicked off. At school, Hilda was stuck with the "ugly duckling" label - thanks to some brutal kids who thought she didn't look like a magazine model. Mean comments were slowly destroying her confidence, and she was seriously struggling.
When she walked into her new Grade 10 classroom, the laughter hit her like a wall. Nervously introducing herself, she mumbled, "Hi, I'm Fisherman Hilda," which totally backfired when the class clown cracked a joke about her looking like she just swam to school.
Red-faced and embarrassed, Hilda slunk to her seat while everyone kept laughing. Lunchtime was just as bad - she felt like everyone was staring and whispering, so she bailed from the cafeteria.
By the end of the day, she was just hoping tomorrow might be a bit less awful. High school was turning out to be seriously rough.
Hilda dragged herself home, looking totally bummed. Later that night, she begged her mom for plastic surgery. Her mom shot her down, but when Hilda asked to transfer schools, her mom was like, "Fine, you're heading to KISS in Korea!"
Hilda was thrilled. She went on a shopping spree, grabbing tons of makeup and perfume. While packing, she checked herself in the mirror and thought, "Time for a total makeover."
Her family dropped her at the airport, and her mom was super emotional about letting her go.
Fast forward, Hilda settled into her new school and was loving the fresh start. The next morning, she dolled herself up and strutted into class. When the teacher asked her to introduce herself, she was all confidence.
"Hey everyone, I'm Hilda Fisherman. Happy to be here!" The whole class went wild, cheering about how gorgeous she was. For the first time in forever, Hilda felt like a total rockstar.
Later, Hilda bumped into this guy named Yechan.
Hilda: Hey, what's up? (with a friendly smile)
Yechan: (looking annoyed) I'm Yechan. Now, can you leave me alone?
Hilda was taken aback by his attitude. Back at her seat, she told her friends what went down. They filled her in that Yechan's got a rough past that explains his tough exterior. Suddenly, Hilda cut him some slack.
While catching up with Yechan in the hallway, Hilda spotted a girl walking up to him, holding chocolates and some fancy jewelry.
Girl: Yechan, I love you! (offering her gifts)
Yechan: Not interested. Get lost. (tossing the chocolate box on the floor)
Hilda: Whoa, that was harsh! You could've let her down easy.
Yechan: Mind your own business.
Frustrated, Hilda stormed off and headed home.
Hilda was totally pumped for her date with Minho. She got all dressed up and ready to go. Minho called to say the taxi was on its way. When she hopped in, things took a weird turn. The driver wasn't listening to her at all, so she bailed out of the car in the middle of nowhere.
Rain started pouring, and she was soaked. Suddenly, she spotted someone through the misty fog. Totally freaked out, she yelled, "Who's there? Stay back! I'm armed!"
As she backed away, she realized it was Yechan. He showed up looking like a total hero, all cool and protective.
Hilda snapped back, "What's your deal? Mind your own business!" - which was ironically something she'd heard earlier that morning.
"Yo, my bad for snapping earlier. Girls coming up to me, spilling their feelings just gets on my nerves, you know? Sorry about that.
Chill, but seriously, you can't just brush off girls like that. We've got feelings too.
How'd you even end up here?
It's complicated.
(shelters her with an umbrella) Come on, it's not safe out here.
Hilda started seeing a softer side to him. They hung out at this old bus stop, waiting for the rain to let up."
Hey, Yechan was about to say something when Minho rang.
Hilda's like, "Hang on, gotta take this."
Minho's all, "What's up? Aren't you here already?"
Hilda's freaking out, "No way. The taxi driver you sent totally tried to kidnap me. I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere right now."
Minho's apologetic, "Wow, I'm super sorry. Wanna just reschedule?"
Hilda's firm, "Fine. But you're picking me up personally. Got it?"
Minho: "Got it."
She hangs up, then turns back to Yechan.
""Hey, sorry - just a buddy. What were you saying?
Oh, never mind. Who was that?
Just Minho, my pen pal. We're finally hanging out since we've never met before.
Do you like him?
Nah, not really. He's totally not my thing.
Oh really? Someone like me, maybe?
You're joking, right?"
Yechan:(holds her hand ,staring at her)Can I kiss you?
Hilda's heart starts racing like crazy.
Hilda: What? Are you drunk? Are you crazy?
Yechan:(holds her hands tightly) Yes. I'm drunk and crazy in love.
Hilda:(angrily) Let go of my hands.
Yechan:(puts his hands on her lips)Don't say a word.
And he kissed her passionately. Hilda tried to free herself from him but was not able to and at a point, she also enjoyed it. When they stopped kissing the atmosphere became awkward
Hilda: (fuming) Seriously, what were you thinking?
Yechan: (with a smirk) Come on, you totally liked it.
Hilda: (looking puzzled) What did you just say?
Yechan: You heard me. You didn't exactly push me away.
Hilda: Whatever, just drop it.
The rain let up, and it was getting late. Hilda was stressed about finding a place to crash for the night. But how was she gonna find a room?
"Hey, don't sweat it. I'll just have my butler drop off my motorbike.
No way I'm getting on that thing of yours.
You totally have to.
So you can wrap up whatever you're planning? Nice try, but nope.
Cut it out. I'm calling my butler.
The phone rang for a bit, and the butler picked up. Yechan asked him to bring the bike over. In a flash, the bike arrived."
Yechan: Check it out, it's here!
Hilda: How'd this thing even show up on its own?
Yechan: Autopilot, duh.
Hilda: Let's just get going.
They jumped on the bike and cruised to a fancy hotel.
Hilda couldn't stop wondering if he came from some loaded family.
At the hotel, she called her parents to chill them out.
Then she took a quick shower and crashed hard.
