While playing games with my boyfriend, a gigantic baby opened her mic and started acting cute: "Brother, can you carry me to victory?" I immediately kicked her out of the team. Unexpectedly, she then found a way to ambush me in the wild, which made me so angry that I grabbed my keyboard and was ready to curse her out. Just then, my boyfriend logged in and soloed the gigantic baby for 200 rounds while she was still in the wild.

Chapter 1

"We're attempting the first clear of Abyssal Demon City and need a skilled healer to join us."

"Hmm? Already got someone in? Alright, I'm starting."

As the lazy, magnetic male voice faded, the phone vibrated.

The Abyssal Demon City dungeon was now open.

I was playing a newly released role-playing mobile game called Zenith Quest.

Abyssal Demon City was currently the most challenging dungeon in the game.

For the best gaming experience, most players teamed up with regular teammates, and I was no different.

The guy who just spoke was my childhood friend of over ten years and also my boyfriend, Alexander Pearson.

Today was the last day for the dungeon refresh, but one of the players in our regular team couldn't log into the game.

We had to bring in a random player to fill the spot.

As the exhilarating music played, various minor monsters swarmed in.

I thought everything would go smoothly as usual, but a few minutes later, I was nearly fuming.

"Wow, we haven't even gotten to the boss yet, and this new healer has died again?"

"She's already used up three lives, but healers are crucial in Abyssal Demon City. We can't just let her die there!"

Another healer's irritated voice echoed in my ears.

Apart from the newly joined healer, Izzy, the rest of us eleven were all familiar faces, so we were using a group call app.

Only Alexander used the in-game voice chat for directing.

Glancing at the status bar, I saw Izzy's name grayed out and quickly reassured my teammates, "Don't worry. She is probably just a newbie who hasn't run this dungeon before. I'll talk to her."

I then opened the in-game voice chat, adjusted my tone, and said, "Hi Izzy, is this your first time tackling this dungeon?"

I was patient with newcomers. I just wanted to communicate properly and finish the dungeon as quickly as possible.

But Izzy didn't respond.

Worried she hadn't turned on the sound, I typed the question again in the team chat.

She still remained silent.

Even after her character revived, she ran around aimlessly and died once more.

"...Is she a complete newbie who doesn't even know how to check the team chat?"

This time, even I was at a loss for words, and my tone started to show signs of impatience.

"Anyway, it's just the beginning. If needed, we can kick her and find someone else," Alexander, busy checking the mechanics, noticed the situation and playfully reassured me. "Ignoring my dear girlfriend? That's a serious offense!"

I couldn't help but laugh.

With just a short sentence, he managed to dissipate my anger.

Oh well, there were plenty of healers in this game anyway.

The atmosphere in the headset returned to harmony as everyone waited for Alexander to recruit someone new and continue the dungeon.

But suddenly, a sweet voice interrupted, "Sorry, am I really that dumb?"

This voice was unfamiliar to me.

Sure enough, it was Izzy, who had been pretending to be silent earlier. She said, "But I don't want to learn the mechanics. Can you help me win?"
