Roslyn Patel is a nineteen-year-old girl who is currently dating the most popular guy and heartthrob of the school Dominic Santiago. Everything seemed to be going well in their relationship until the arrival of Dominic's former crush Evelyn Torres who started to stir problems in their relationship, instead of falling into a depressive state Roslyn finds comfort in another's arms.
Roslyn's phone rang continuously to the point where it started to get annoying. She looked at the caller ID to see her boyfriend's name, Dominic, on the screen. Her expression quickly changed from annoyance to happiness and with a smile she answered the call, "Hey Stranger"
A deep voice came through the other end of the call.
"Hey yourself"
After a moment of silence, Dominic's voice came through once again
"Listen, are you free this evening I want us to have dinner at the new restaurant downtown for our anniversary"
"I'm surprised you even remembered our anniversary with how busy you've been lately, you know with school and football"
Roslyn said with a teasing tone but at the same time there was a hint of sadness in her voice too.
"Why would I ever forget the day I started dating you, after all I am the one that proposed to you right?, anyway, are you available or what"
" Yeah, my schedule is open for the day"
"Great let's meet say six Ish "
"kk"
"I'll hang up now and please don't be late this time"
"Yeah"
Dominic then hung up the phone leaving Roslyn to ponder about what she was going to wear for the anniversary date. the time came around and Roslyn found Dominic already sitting at the table wearing a full suit and his hair perfectly done as always.
as I walked towards him our eyes met, and he got up to meet me halfway
" wow" he said looking into her eyes
"What is my lipstick stuck to my teeth or something" she said clueless as ever, which only made Dominic smile at her
"No, my love, you look lovely as always" he said as he placed his hand on her cheek leaning in slightly, but just as always Roslyn dogged his kiss which left Dominic very hurt and confused on why Roslyn kept on doing that every time, he tried to show physical affection towards her
Roslyn smiled awkwardly at him and spoke up" shall we sit down"
"yeah " Dominic said lost in his train of thoughts.
after an hour of small talk and what not Dominic finally voiced out the thoughts that have been occupying his ming for the night and honestly ever since they started dating.
"Roslyn why don't you let me touch you", Roslyn looked up at him, she knew what he met but she still decided to act coy
" What do you mean we hold hands don't we"
"Roslyn that's not what I mean, and you know it, why is it that for the past four years we've been dating we've never kissed"
" ......." Roslyn remained quiet
" Do I repulse you or something, am I disgusting to you, don't you love me anymore, is that it"
"Dom, you do not repulse me and no you're not disgusting and neither have I stopped loving you" she said as she placed her fork down and looked at him with affection in her eyes
"Then why haven't we kissed"
" I've never felt like kissing you"
" So, I do repulse you"
"I never said that Dominic " she spoke her voice slightly rising
"Then what are you trying to say Roslyn because the way you're putting it makes it seem like you're not attracted to me physically "
"I am though"
" Then kiss me " Dominic said as he stood up and stood beside her leaning closer to her face
" I can't" she said looking down at the napkin on her lap
" Damn it Roslyn" he yelled out slamming a fist on the table causing Roslyn to jolt slightly from the unexpected action
"I'm sorry" she said tears welling up in the eyes
"Great and now you're crying, Ros......" before Dominic could finish a familiar voice rang through the room and when he turned around, he saw Evelyn his first love causing his mood to switch from angry to happy quickly
"Evelyn, is thar you"
"The one and only babe" she said as she opened up her arms inviting him for a hug which took much longer than needed
Roslyn wiped her tears but the moment she heard Dominic say the name Evelyn her heart dropped she prayed deep in her heart thar it wasn't the same evenly from 6 years ago but as she turned to look, she saw her causing her heart to drop, it was her Evelyn the same Evelyn Dominic was obsessed about and probably still is.
as they broke from the hug Evelyn looked at Roslyn and smiled at her wickedly giving Roslyn an uneasy feeling. The devil was back, and Roslyn knew that everything was going to change.
